minimally acceptable, very thin wires, broken weld.
This is not for a dog that has not yet been crate-trained or is still fighting being in a crate. The wire on this crate is MUCH thinner than others. I bought this for my dog who is already trained, but she wanted out the second night and managed to push the side door hard enough that the weld holding the wire broke. This is not a big dog, she is a small bull terrier (41 lbs). MY assumption is that the weld was marginal anyhow. I used thick wire to re-bind the corner and all is well. I thought about returning it, but it simply is too large to worry about and I was able to use 25 cents of wire to fix the broken weld..I would recommend you get a different one that has thicker wires. The wires on this one are thin and if your dog is heavier and wants out, he is going to be able to bend the wires. Now, if you have mini-dogs and want to use the divider, then its probably not an issue, but any large dog is going to be able to get out if he wants.

I love the side door
Purchased this crate after reading reviews. I have a lab/corgi mix that weighs 60lbs give or take a few. We also bought a large sized pet bed to put in it as she sleeps in this thing. It is huge!! I love the side door, it makes it easy on my dog to get in and out without struggle. It was very easy to put together, took about 5 minutes. I was worried that she would destroy this cage but she hasn't. It even arrived earlier than expected. She can stretch, turn around and lay down in it comfortably. I am so glad I bought this. You can't beat the price either considering the size of it.

You get what you pay for.
I liked the price the most - but it was not very sturdy, after having for a month, it was falling apart (connections from the horizontal and vertical part of the cage were snapping off, posing sharp objects into the cage). The company was nice enough to replace. 10 months later, it started to do it, again. This time they said it was out of warranty and they could no longer replace, or even look at the items breakage.

Ok crate, but not for active high-drive dogs.
Crate is ok for the price but flimsy. I've purchased Midwest crates for years, with 5 dogs (2 SAR K9s), and I can only use this crate for my senior and less active dog. If you have a rambunctious puppy or high drive dog, don't buy this crate. If you have a patient and laid back dog, this crate will work fine. I don't like the hook on the latch. It's hard to get closed sometimes. Crate is easy to erect, and light weight for its size.

Awesome for big well behaved dogs
Ordered this and got it 3 days ago, and so far it's been great. My four month old border collie pitbull mix goes in and it's plenty roomie for her, food and water bowls and will be great as she grows. It is, however, very 'flimsy' I guess is the appropriate word. It works great for me bc she goes right in and never tests her boundaries with it, but if you have a dog who is bound and determined to get loose, and or bites/chews crates, this is not the cage for you.

Reasonable priced dog crstes
Nice cage. Easy to put together. When assembled, the top of the crate and doors seem s little flimsy but it’s holdung up well so far. I wouldn’t put anything on top of the crate as it doesn’t seem sturdy. Reasonable priced!

It works for us
This is not a thick metal. It is thin, so if you have a large, rambunctious pooch this kennel may not hold up. If you start at a puppy stage using the kennel, your pooch should already be accustomed to it. With that being said, you should not have to worry about him/her breaking out or tearing the thing up. We are using ours for a chocolate lab weighing close to 50 lbs. He is kennel trained, therfore this kennel works fine for night time purposes.

Huge crate!
It is really a very large crate and meets my needs. I am very happy with it. I have a very laid back, gentle merle mountain cur who loves his crate and all the room this big guy has. However, a big dog who isn't liking being crated for long periods without supervision, could easily destroy this crate. I also have an 80 lb pit that hates to be confined and he has gotten out of several crates that are stronger than this.
