AB28 Carpet Brush, 18-Inch Head, 54-Inch Handle, Blue

I hate housework. It's a full contact sport featuring chemicals, dirty water and no protection. But with my carpet being a few years old and beige it was looking matted down. I thought about how much human and cat hair and disgusting dander must be in that carpet and I was considering having it replaced. This tool will set that back for a while. Either I can not believe how much hair and yuck this thing gets up or I can not believe how much my Electrolux leaves behind. I don't know. This is an invaluable tool for anyone who wants the nap of their carpet revived. Martha Stewart never told me about these things. I used a back and forth motion and the pile came right back up. My high traffic areas aren't matted down and my carpet looks much cleaner and healthier. Tomorrow I will shampoo the carpet after using this wonderful brush. After using it lightly and vacuuming my dust bin was very full. I like that. Now that I know about this tool I will never be without one. One clean freak to another, you need this. (PS, if, like me you are on points plus with weight watchers you get extra points for housework, so I do work for food)

I bought the Grandi Groom after reading about carpet rakes on Lifehacker.com. I was amazed at the result from the first time I used the product. I generally rake my carpet twice, once before vacuuming to raise the nap to expose the dirt and again after vacuuming for a final fluff and to get the vacuum streaks out. My guests are always amazed at how good my carpet looks and think I must have some type of special vacuum. Invariably they have never heard of using a carpet rake. Trust me, if you want your carpet to look good and last longer, rake it.

Leaves a lot to be desired. Don’t bother with this if you have a short pile (and matted down) from a lot of traffic. This brush barely lifts the pile. It does look good, so long as no one ever walks on the carpet again. The construction of this item is fantastic, but for my needs it is basically useless. Way too much work for the results.

I am thrilled to have finally FOUND this carpet brush. People I know never HEARD of a carpet brush, not even owners of vacuum cleaner stores. I always love to clean and vacuum a guest room before people come. You know how after you vacuum, you have to walk over the carpet to pull plugs or put items back on the floor, ruining the freshly vacuumed look. Well, now I just brush out my tracks with my Groom Industries carpet brush, and the carpet looks PERFECT for my guests. Great product that I've been looking for ... for YEARS!

I own the Grandi Groom Rake and have now added this carpet brush to my cleaning tools. This brush works fabulous on soft and plush carpeting. It's nice because it erases footprints without leaving rake marks. It quickly makes the carpet look nice when there isn't time to vacuum. I use it almost every day and love it.

The heading is for lady who complained always coming loose. Get a wrench or a boyfriend who has tools.Excellent quality does the job. Will take me awhile to complete has been 3 years since buying my townhome. Up side is makes cheap carpet look good again. Tried the area in front of my recliner looks new again.

I love my Roomba, but I hate the tracks it leaves in the carpet, especially along walls and around table legs. A quick brush with this takes out the tracks and leaves the carpet looking great. Knocked off 1 star because the head screws keep coming loose and have to be tightened down.

Not quite strong enough to pull up matted Berber carpet loops. Bristles bend and don't catch the matted loops. Might be useful on newer Berber or regular low profile carpets. I let our carpet go too long between cleanings and now have to use a hand scrub brush to work loops up between the shampoo and rinse steps. Problem is the Berber loops don't crush down in the same direction so this carpet brush could not catch the loops. Hand scrub brush allows me to work in the correct direction to pull op loops. Will still keep the carpet brush for other applications like door mats and runner rugs.
