iGrill2 iDevices Wireless Bluetooth BBQ Meat Thermometer, 4-Probes

This is the second unit I have purchased and I have had the exact problem with multiple probes provide faulty readings. I placed 2 probes in the same piece of meat less than 1/2 inch apart. 1 probe read 87 the other 123. Very similar results with both units I tested. I will be returning this one.Update: I wanted to test to make sure I wasn't doing something wrong. Turns out 3 of the 4 probes are off. I tested them at room temperature and took a few pictures to document this issue.

I felt I had to write a review after seeing some of the negative reviews. I bought my first one in 2015 and my second one in 2016. (I own two homes and didn't want to bother packing it up everytime we go to the beachhouse.) Both of these devices continue to work perfectly. They have plenty of range and read food temperatures accurately. I haven't had them calibrated, but the cooking results are great. The only issue I had was when one probe was showing odd (very high) temperatures, even when sitting on the counter with no heat source. I called Weber, sent them a picture that showed the probe wasn't physically damaged and they sent me a replacement for free. These things are great devices, easy to use and set up. I have an Android device, so I can't speak to the iPhone folks that seem to have poor bluetooth connectivity. But I can confirm that I have never had an issue with it disconnecting or losing signal when wandering around the yard or the house.

This thing is awesome, bluetooth to my tablet and allowed me to see the temperatures for 3 different meats, ribs and brisket and also get the ambient temperature. Just awesome, thinking of buying another will need an ambient probe clip I got here on amazon also to hold the probe.

This is the best thermometer I've ever used. The convenience of having an app on your phone that allows you to check the temperatures is amazing! I can smoke food all day and keep doing other things around the yard or in the house and just check my phone here and there to see what temp I'm at! I highly recommend the Igrill2! You won't find a cheaper price either for all 4 probes!

The software interface is a bit clunky. Doing things like choosing the color associated or the type of meat is a bit more difficult than it should be. Some of the cabling was kinked when it was around by the factory, so far this has not impacted performance.It has great Bluetooth range. I monitor my grill in the backyard from inside my house in the room that is the opposing corner from the grill. If you have connection issues, don't put the grill between the base and you as large metal objects and wireless signals don't mix. Additionally the signal will depend on your receiving device and the batteries in the base

Bought two of these as gifts a few months apart. The first recipient loved it so much we felt compelled to get the second as a gift for another. Seems like a solid thermometer with a decent app. We don't have historical reference on how the app used to be, but it seems workable now..

This is the coolest thermometer! We smoke and grill a lot year round and have not had the best luck lately with thermometers. We've purchased expensive leave in ones like this and supposed instant read ones. Not one would read accurately which caused ruined briskets and ribs! We found this by reading a Consumer Reports article on the iGrill Mini but when I found this one that had 4 probes I knew we needed to try it! We often grill steaks for the hubby, kiddo and myself and have four racks in our smoker so this just made more sense to buy than any other model. It was super easy to setup an connect to the app on my iPhone. Right out of the box it needed a firmware update which was quick and easy. The first meat we smoked with it were a set a beef ribs. we had split the ribs into two parts and the thermometer was 100% spot on!!! The ribs were PERFECT!!! Later that night we tried steaks and they, again were absolutely PERFECT!!! A few days later we smoked a tri-tip and that also was beautiful and delicious! I cannot say enough for this little gadget! I reads accurately time after time. It's such a relief to have finally found the perfect leave in thermometer!!!

These wireless bluetooth meat thermometers are useful and quite easy to use. I have bought them as a hostess gift after using mine for a while.
