Q: How long does this product last? How many times are you able to keep adding water?

The product will last until there is nothing but table salt in the bottle, that is the final result of the reaction. That will take a very long time, the key is to keep the material in the bottle damp. Adding too much water will decrease the ammonia production, when you do add water after day 2 months; add a small amount preferably onto the cotton ball. Hope this helps!

Q: Was I supposed to remove the cotton ball before adding water?

No, the cotton ball helps to hold the moisture so the reaction can continue. Too much liquid causes the reaction to cease. If the product is flooded you can simply leave it out overnight to dry it out and add a cotton ball and try again. If it is crystallized inside we would recommend crushing it back up with a sharpie pen or something similar! Q: Is this similar to cocaine?

This is a good question - This particular product is very strong from an inhalation perspective and will wake you up. However from an ingestion via nose - I wouldn't recommend it . If you're looking for a big pick me up like a cocaine you're not going to get it from here
