Laptop arrived looking nearly brand new. Runs Win10 great.
Laptop arrived in excellent condition. Well packed. Works well with Win10, not compatible with Win11. Bought this laptop to run Linux Mint, it should work great for this use.Great value for a very nice laptop that will be obsolete soon when Win10 goes out of support. I will enjoy trying out several Linux distributions on this very well made laptop.Followup: I discovered that this laptop IS Win11 compatible if you turn on TPM (Trusted Platform Module) in the BIOS!

Ready for Arch Linux
Zapped the hard disk and installed Linux, great screen image, good keyboard, speed and functionally. Now I have a back up laptop to travel, and log with SSH to my online server. R-Sync my life.Only down is battery life too short.

Nice Refurb
These are excellent refurbished units. I got mine from the seller PT ELECTRONIC TECH LLC as they had a 100% positive feedback and they did not disappoint. The unit practically looks new, just some very subtle minor wear on the lid really from just normal daily use/put in and out of a soft bag/backpack it looks like.Runs fast, the i5 has 4 physical cores and 4 hyper threaded logical units so "8 cores" and 16 GB of RAM along with a 512 GB speedy intel SSD. These are fantastic modest units, save some cash and get one of these if you have a relative who just needs a fast, dependable and plenty of power enough for a basic everyday productivity user vs spending quadruple the amount on something newer. you can't beat the value of these lenovo T490 refurbs.

Keyboard not seated correctly, otherwise ok.
The item arrived in the condition stated but the keyboard was not installed correctly and had to be reseated. I'm not sure if it was knocked loose during shipment or never installed correctly during the assembly process. I have a fair amount of experience repairing desktops and laptops so the loose keyboard was not an issue however others may have returned the laptop because of the apparent defect. Other than that issue, the laptop is in pristine condition and has the correct amount of storage and RAM. The system booted, setup went without a hitch, and the stated operating system displayed. Obviously only time will tell whether the system will be as robust and dependable as the system it replaced, but first impressions are mostly positive.

DO NOT ORDER FROM CNE DIRECT
DO NOT ORDER!!! I got this computer in September. I use it for one purpose, to run Light Burn for my laser business. It’s not even connected to the internet. By the time February rolled around (just 5 days outside of their “warranty” timing) the screen would not turn on. The computer itself would turn on as some of the buttons would light up but no screen would come on. After messing with it for about 3 days I got it to turn on fully and it worked fine for another week. Then back to the original issue. Contacted the seller and they say it’s “not their problem because it’s out of the warranty timing” wouldn’t you think a refurbished item should have longer than a 90 day warranty? Especially when it’s obviously 100% product error as I only use it for one thing. I would 10000% NOT order from this seller because of how they treat their customers. Terrible customer service. Especially to not offer to take a look at the computer to try to find out what exactly is causing the issue and if it was user error then I wouldn’t have an issue but to just say “not our problem anymore” is absolutely terrible to do to a customer. TERRIBLE!

Awesome laptop
Originally I bought a yoga 11e for around the same price off lenovo.com during a sale. It could barely handle a browser full of tabs so I returned it for this. Much faster experience.I saw some reviews on here saying theirs came with the touchscreen, mine did not, mine has a 1080 60hz display. It does have a fingerprint scanner, which I also noticed some reviews said theirs did not. So I guess it's kind of random what you're going to recieve. The other hardware specs were accurate. Laptop is in A condition, only some small scuff marks on the two bottom front corners, no big deal for the price. Battery is at 90% capacity, which is acceptable.By default this laptops BIOS was not set to work with windows 11, so you may have to enable secure boot and TPM. Then it should update to 11, I had to download an installer from MS to get it going as windows update wasn't suggesting the upgrade.I also reinstalled windows from usb and formatted the ssd, for what that's worth. I suggest doing the same if you're savvy enough, for a completely clean system (besides the Microsoft bloat). You never know.

Very Satisfied Customer
Our T490 arrived the next day after our order in excellent like new condition with the exact features/specs described. We bought from SKY ELECTRONIC TECH INC. because of their excellent customer ratings and reviews. Although we paid a little more than other sellers were charging we wanted to buy from a merchant who would provide a high quality product. And, that's exactly what we got. Could not be happier with our laptop and the purchase experience.

Good Laptop with Bad Battery and Power Supply. Seller not responsive.
Laptop arrived in great condition. Two issues: The battery needed replacing. I bought one from Lenovo for $80. The provided power supply would get pretty hot and I smelled what seemed like burning electronics. It eventually quit charging the machine. I sent TekRefurbs a request to send a new power supply. No response. Just sent them another request. They can do better if they are selling a machine in "excellent" condition.
