ATTENTION PLUS-SIZED BACKPACKERS/HIKERS!!! (These are better than Exofficio)
COMPARISON TO EXOFFICIO:I purchased two pairs of exofficio panties (in the bikini and hipster style), and the 3 pack of the balanced tech panties.I was primarily looking for something that was great for keeping me cool, and wicking way sweat on long hikes/workouts/and backpacking trips- and something that I could hand-wash and dry overnight (so I could pack fewer pairs of underwear).EXOFFICIO:When I first got these, I was very excited! These certainly were lightweight, very breathable, and comfortable, however, the crotch lining had fairly bulky seam, and created visible lines under my leggings. In addition, these panties did not hold up very well as the day went- and continued to get baggier/looser. They did their job with odor control as the day progressed, and dried extremely quickly after they were washed. They did a great job of keeping me cool, though- but then they started to chafe around where the seam met my inner thighs. Definitely not a comfortable feeling on a 15 mile hike!BALANCED TECH:I usually wear size XL/XXL underwear, and the XL fit me perfectly! These make me feel comfortable, don't have bulky lines, done ride up or slide down, and truly do a great job of wicking! I wore them for a 3 day backpacking trip, and washed them overnight. They did their job with odor control as the day progressed, and although slower than the Exofficio panties, these still dried fairly quickly so that I could wear them the next day. Although slightly bulkier/heavier than the Exofficio panties, these definitely retained their shape, kept me supported throughout, did their job of wicking away sweat, and most importantly- did not chafe on the long hikes!!!By far my favorite workout panties!!!!I would definitely choose Balanced Tech over Exofficio for all of my sweaty adventures!

Awesome for the price... highly recommend trying them!
I was a little concerned about purchasing these with the reviews that warned of them falling apart after one wash. But, for around half the price of just one pair of name-brand fitness undies, I decided to take a chance.I was going to give them 4 stars as it is hard to say that I "love" these underwear, but they really deserve 5 stars when I factor everything in, so I'll give it to them!I wanted some nylon undies to stop... erm... getting that swampy feeling that my cotton ones gave me on workout days (sorry if that's TMI, but it's true and relevant! LOL). These provided that AND had an unexpected effect: they actually stay in place. Like completely. So my compression pants that claim to stay in place never do, but these panties stay up even when the pants creep down and make it more comfortable so I don't feel the need to hike up my pants every 3 minutes.I have washed each pair several times now and have had zero signs of unraveling. I have a HE front-loading washer, so I don't know if that makes a difference, but still... they're in great shape. If I could point out any issue I've had with them, it would only be that the first time I took them off, I was a little alarmed by this thick, sticky goo on my lower back, but I quickly realized that was just the no-label "ink" rubbing off and it was only that first time and really not a big deal.

Great fit, very comfortable.
The fit on these was surprisingly cute and was very comfy. I brought this 3 pack and a pair of ExOfficio's on a week-long trip and that was more than enough. I was able to wash these easily in the sink and lay out to dry. I didn't have any issues with colors bleeding, as some reviewers did, but I would like to note that the fabric is a bit thicker than other performance underwear and therefore didn't dry as quickly as the other brand. Even draped over a fan, they weren't completely dry by morning. That said, Balanced Tech was more comfortable for me in the Colorado mountains than the ExOfficio's, so I mostly rotated them leaving one set out to finish drying during the day. If I was moving from place to place each day, I might choose a more light-weight brand. For size reference, my hips measure at 42" and I typically wear a size 14 in pants. The XL was the perfect size for me.

The Unraveling: An after Shower Tale
Update: These are garbage. The couple pair that didn't unravel staight out of the package did't survive a single wash (cold, delicate cycle). These look good, fit well, and are really comfortable. Two out of the six pair I bought, however, unraveled straight out of the package. I felt loose, stray thread around my waist right after I put them on. I pulled at it, thinking I'd break it. And that was the beginning of the end. I put the better part of five minutes into pulling the loose thread on the second pair, just to see how far it would go. Then I got bored, and I threw them away. Seriously, you can't stop the unraveling. It's like the whole thing is made from a single thread. Cutting it, tying it, melting it... nothing stops it. If you had the time and patience to commit to the pulling, think you'd eventually end up with a ball of thread--artisanal, deconstructed intimate apparel. I'm not cool enough for that. The other four pair have each survived a single day of wear without incident. I'm wondering how they'll do on laundry day. Two stars, though, because my butt looked good, if only for a few days.

Quick delivery and sweat wicking
These are a bit like granny knickers, they cover your whole butt and the waistline is a lot higher than I'm used to but they are so comfy and sweat-wicking whilst exercising that it makes up for it. I don't even notice they're there, no chafing, no wedgies and most of all they're not sweat soaked at the end of a run.Received on the 1st when expected 8th - 17th so also very happy with speed of delivery!

Thicker material than expecting
Not a huge fan - thicker than I was expecting and I find the seam on the gusset a little itchy, they also seem to bunch up a bit.
