Mustang MIT 100 Inflatable Automatic PFD w/Reflective Tape - Orange

I hate bulky PFD's, they're hot, heavy, hard to move in, and make me feel anxious while wearing them most of the time. Also, for kayaking/boating hard to paddle in! This PFD is perfect! It's light, and very comfortable. I'm 5'4" and around 170lbs and it fit perfect with TONS of adjustable strap room left over to definitely accommodate the portlier person. I've worn it for 7 hours straight in one trip, in 90 degree heat in direct sun, with 0 discomfort. The maintenance window was the major selling point for me, as with others similar you have to pretty much guess whether or not the Co2 cartridge is still good, unless you've used it. This also has a tube for oral inflation that's super easily accessible under a flap. Love the bold neon color (green) , which is easier to spot in a rescue situation. Would definitely buy again.

I’ve never been a fan of wearing a life jacket. They are either uncomfortable, to hot, to bulky, interfere with padding. This Mustang PFD is awesome to wear while I’m kayak fishing or out on the boat on the Mississippi. It basically does not interfere with anything I do and that is a beautiful thing. Sure you can buy a cheap life jacket to meet state requirements, but chances are you wouldn’t wear it. You can spend a little more money and end up with a PFD that if somehow you end up in the water you will be prepared because it doesn’t bother you to wear it while you are on the water.

These are great personal flotation devices. My husband uses them at work on Navy boats and when we bought kayaks he would accept no other! They fit him at 6' tall and wide-shouldered as well as me at 5'3" and considerably smaller with simple adjustments.If you are using these at speeds where there is a risk you'll be unconscious when you hit the water - GET THE AUTOMATIC VERSION.In kayaks, it's extremely unlikely to be unconscious, and we're likely to be in the water fairly regularly because we like to horse around. My husband flipped his kayak the first time out with these and manually inflated it with the breath tube to save the CO2 cartridge and it functioned perfectly to keep his head out of the water and to put him in a neutral float position on his back without restricting airways. Otherwise, it's almost like not wearing anything extra!

Sure, we have always had PFDs on the boat, and the kids always wear PFDs, but I do not enjoy a regular PFD, so I did not wear one. This Mustang PFD lets me wear one all the time in the boat, taking the grandkids fishing is such a joy to me, and If I fall in, I need to be there for them.Note: For this to be counted as a PFD on the boat, it must be worn. The PFD sitting in the boat is not counted.

It's a Mustang product so what do you expect outside of quality. I recently replaced an old Mustang vest that is still in operation but pretty worn looking. These are excellent PFD's if your looking to have a minimal imprint. I do alot of fishing via boat and Kayak, and prefer these over the bulky NRS angler style vests. They breath nicely and dont get in the way when paddling, or if your on the boat you soon forget your wearing it. Way better then every time you get to a location shedding the life jacket. I fully expect many more years of fauthful service our of this PFD. Highly recommended

After trying and returning numerous PFDs I finally found one I can comfortably wear for kayaking. Very easy to adjust for a wind variety of sizes. Fits well without squishing my chest and doesn’t take up much space in my campervan.

Can't speak for the life saving ability, thank goodness, but have four on board. When I go boating solo, I wear one from the moment I leave the dock until I tie up. Compared to other styles, I forget I have it on.

The fit and mobility is great. I wear it all day and forget I have it on. As far as it working, fortunately I haven't been in a situation where I needed it.
