I am VERY fussy about pens and I LOVE these pens. They write with smooth precision and are comfortable to hold. I like that they are retractable because I think caps are a hassle. They are kind of expensive but they do last a good while and for the consistent enjoyment they are totally worth it. The only thing I would wish for would be water-safe ink....these run like crazy if the paper gets wet. If I am writing on an envelope or a shopping list, I will use a sharpie pen instead.

They smudge just a bit but it’s a great pen if you into gel pens.Just wish they were $5.00 less damn they expensive 😭

The Pilot V7 is my favorite pen for letter writing and note taking. It flows smoothly over paper and is a joy to use. The ink is bold but not too bold. The colors are vivid and beautiful. These pens write well over a variety of paper. The RT model features a comfort pad for extended writing, which is nice upgrade over the classic Precise model.There are three considerations to keep in mind with these pens as they use liquid ink. First, it can take a second for the ink to fully absorb and dry on paper. It dries faster than fountain pens I've used but still, be mindful of smudging for the first second or so after writing. Second, be careful of carrying these in your pocket. If the button is even slightly depressed, the ink can bleed out slowly. (I recommend models with a cap for pocket carry.) Third, I do not recommend storing these long term with the tip down, such as in a cup with other pens. For best results, store them on their side (horizontally). With these things in mind, you can get a wonderful writing experience with these pens.

If you are looking for a smooth writing pen, you would definitely love these. I ordered these pens after being given one by a coworker. Pros:-I write a lot at work. My job is 100% charting so I need a GOOD writing pen.. These are awesome.-I have found that my handwriting is more legible with the needle point tip of these pens. I fell in love with them right away.-I have rheumatoid arthritis and sometimes have pain in my hands. These pens are very comfortable in my hand. I am able to grip without any difficulties.Cons:-Kind of a bit on the expensive side for the amount of pens in the box.-The pens usually come with a tip on the end of the pens which gives me confirmation that they weren’t used prior to my use; however, with the box I recently received, tips were missing on most of the pens which was very disturbing to me.I would order again but if I can find a cheaper option, I would definitely be willing to try that option.

I found these pens a few years ago and was impressed, but I'm definitely one of those weird people who likes to buy and try different pens, so I've tried A LOT of other pens. These are by far the best cheap pen out there. It is somewhat like a liquid ink, but does not smear. This pen is so easy to write with- I work with elderly who have a hard time writing and they have no issues with this pen, as you can write at any angle. It is also fairly lightweight and does not require the writer to give pressure to write. There is a v5 version with a more fine print, but it is too fine for me. I probably will never buy any other pen for work. Work is majority of where I use them.

It does skip a bit - not much - but it's the best fine-tip ball point pen I could find. Hard to find one that is not a gel pen. I use it for writing in my Bible, so a gel pen wouldn't work - too much of a chance of them running if the writing gets wet. Just bought a dozen after trying out one for a while. I'd get them again, even if they do skip a bit.

These pens are my absolute favorite! I am a bit of a pen snob and have made pen switches over the years in search of the perfect pen. I believe I have finally found that pen! These pens do NOT skip...a huge problem I have run into with other pens. And these pens do NOT bleed. So when I first make initial contact with my paper, there is not a larger blob of ink that bleeds. It leave perfectly clean and even lines from the beginning of the letter to the end. I have been so pleased with these! I talked them up that my co-workers all tried them. We ended up buying 3 boxes of red, black, and blue for the office because everyone ended up loving them! If you write really small, these might be a bit thick for you...but I find their thickness to be perfect.
