I tried to find one of these at my local store and no one had one that the screws lined up with the old one and I didn't want to have to have a plumber redo the pluming however this one was perfect! It was also about 30 bucks cheaper on Amazon than the ones at the hardware stores I tried Home Depot, Lowes, Menards, Ace and True Value all around 70-80 bucks and none of them worked. We were remodeling a shower so I wanted to get a new one so everything in the shower was new! This one worked out great and it came with a new cartridge!!

I bought this set for an apartment bathroom because it looks good, my plumber likes the brand, and it's so reasonably priced I had to at least try it out. Plumbers like Delta and a couple of others because they're easy to install and maintain, and reportedly reliable as any. I am surprised and glad to see that it really is pretty in the stainless finish, and the main pieces - handle, trim plate, spout are actually brass, not plastic. The shower head appears to be brass-clad, though I'm not certain. It's certainly not plastic.I don't write many reviews, but I do read them before I buy, and I do see a lot of apparently fake ones. This review is for the buyer who really wanted to know how durable-seeming this kit's materials are, and I have to say, I'm impressed, especially for the price.

It is perfect for Delta Shower.

This kit is designed for Delta shower parts installed after 2006. I didn't realize that Delta slightly changed sizes on a few components over the years so do your research first. I bought this to replace the parts in our shower, built in 1992. The spacing of hot/cold inlets on the cartridge was changed by a few millimeters so cannot be used. The instructions also reference a collar nut but there isn't one included with this kit. The collar nut from the old shower is too thick for the new sleeve to fit over. I called Delta and they did send me the new collar nut for this kit. The sleeve is also a 1/2" too short so I had to order a longer sleeve to fit these older pre-2006 hookups.For the average DIYer, these are lessons learned after you get everything unless you do your research first. Otherwise the parts are all decent quality and Delta customer service was helpful.

Our home was built in 2003 and the existing shower trim says Delta 1400 Series. I figured this trim looks very much like the existing trim only it has a different handle to replace the dated looking glass ball knob which has outlived its purpose. I go to install it thinking it would be a breeze with the bonus of a brand new cartridge that should last us for several years only I hit a snag...a very avoidable snag if only Delta had placed more thought into it. The new cartridge does not match the old one in width at the point where you insert it into your valve body. The old one is wider by just a few inches meaning I either have to use it or get a new replacement cartridge. Why change cartridge dimensions like that and cause backward fit issues? If I use the old one it leaves me with another issue. The old one needs a longer sleeve to prevent a gap between the handle and the trim plate (pictured).Called Delta and they are sending me a longer sleeve that should fix the problem...I have had really good experiences calling their CS team. I always get someone rather quickly and they are based in the US. That is two HUGE ++ Delta! I wish all companies were as responsive as you.

I’m giving this 5 stars because of how nice it was! This is what I would have preferred we used but because our shower is so old, none of our valves were compatible with delta. Would have been MUCH happier with this product

If you’re buying, remember to get the valve. The only issue I’ve had is wishing there was a wider range of motion for the shower head. Almost everyone in my family is over 5’11” so for the most part the angle it’s installed at works but my grandma is jus barely 5’ and a bit more swivel would allow her to better angle it for herself.

The handle and shower nozzle system are well made and worked fine. The only problem we had was a very small nick in the seal for the valve (sold separately) that allowed the shower to drip. Fortunately it's a service item and a trip to plumbing store replaced it quickly at no cost.
