It's the Beatles
Saw these for sale or should I say Amazon seemed to know that I like the Beatles... go figure. I haven't actually listen to them, it would require me to hook my turn-table up. I'm sure though they will sound great. I think these are more for the collectors.

Serious RSD Vinyl Collector
I don't know how I missed this box set when it was first released but I am thrilled to have been able to get my hands on this one...as far as I am concerned vinyl is heads above any other listening experience out there and I am thrilled it looks like it is making a comeback...This box set is a great addition to my collection. The tracks on the 4 45s are an excellent selection of THE BEATLES AT THEIR BEST!!!

For Collector's Eyes Only--But a Fun Thingumybob to Have
This set is for true fans and collectors, to be sure, as it is not a necessary or must-have, this set contains four 7 inch 45 rpm singles. Each A side is sung by a different Beatle. Ticket 2 Ride, Yellow Submarine, Revolution and Something are the A sides. The packaging is not designed for frequent use, as it is somewhat cumbersome. The four 7 inchers have nice sleeves and are very similar to what was used in the 60s.. the discs themselves are the new high quality vinyl, and the disc labels on the first two records have the neat Orange and yellow capitol stickers ...the last two have the Apple labels. A nice B&W poster of the lads comes with the set...its a 65 or early 66 group shot. The sound quality of the remasters is great...BOTTOM LINE=BUY THIS IF YOU OR RECIPIENT IS A HARDCORE FAN OR COLLECTOR...OTHERWISE SPEND THIS MONEY ON THE MONO BOX SET....ps the singles have the large holes in the middle so you are provided with a 'single hub,' however it is lame and you would be better of using the one that came with your record player..."For a fish and finger pies in summer ..."

AVOID!!!!
Horrible quality. I have so many beatles records. And when these play on my player, they do not even sound like the beatles. It sounds like a demonic voice. Deep and crapy. Avoid buying! And its to late for me to return

Very Unpleasant Experience with this Company
I got the product before the estimated delivery date, which was great. I got an Amazon gift card for the holidays and decided to buy this "BOX" set of singles (45s), since I am a BIG fan of The Beatles. However, I really didn't shop for it anywhere, to my regret. After I ordered it, I noticed it at Barnes & Noble for $49.99. I contacted Robinson company and asked them if they price match, and of course they said no, but it was the way they said it. "No price matching, non refundable--You own it!" The kicker is, that when I received the product, it had a price sticker on it that said $49.99 on it. Unbelievable. As far as the product itself, the Apple singles (Hey Jude/Revolution) sound really muddy. Surprisingly, the other Apple single, (Something/Come Together) sounded really good? The Apple on the Apple singles are really dull (as well as the side B label) compared to the originals (see photos). Eleanor Rigby/Yellow Submarine look really cool--seeing them on the Capital label (not faded). Obviously, the publishing company on the newly pressed "Hey Jude" single is Sony/ATV Tunes LLC, whereas, the original publisher was Maclen Music Inc. In addition, the newly pressed "Hey Jude" single (as well as "Something/Come Together" does NOT have the 'slip guard' with 360 interlocking serrations surrounding the label. Lastly, the original B side (with the sliced apple with its exposed sliced innards) display "Revolution" differently than original (see photo). Not sure why, maybe thats how it was displayed in London. Well worth $49.99 NOT $79.81!!!!!

Call me crazy, but ....
Since Apple decided to use artwork patterned after the "Beatles 1" album cover (yellow lettering on red background), emphasized by a picture and ad for the "1" album on the rear of the package, wouldn't it have made more sense to include "We Can Work It Out" c/w "Day Tripper", as both songs are actually on the "1" album ? Alongside the other double-A-sides included in the set ("Something" c/w "Come Together" and "Yellow Submarine" c/w "Eleanor Rigby"), each of the six songs would actually be represented on that album.Obviously, that begs the questions (a) what to pick for the 4th single, as there were only three double-A-sided singles where both sides ended up on "1", and (b) having said that, is a 4th single even needed in the set ?With a little more thought, this could've been much cooler than it turned out.

Id pass.
If you have all the Beatle CDs theres nothing much here to go crazy about.Nice to look at,but lets face it,who really needs it?

Fantastic contents, cheap "Limited Edition" box.
Being a hard-core Beatles fan and collector, I came across this set on Amazon while browsing late one night, and I immediately ordered it. The set itself is wonderful and the records are pressed on very high quality vinyl. The covers are also very nice and are made of thick card stock unlike the original ones from the 60s that were basically just paper. The poster and the little spindle are nice touches, but nothing to be thrilled about. The bad news is regarding the box itself. For a "Limited Edition, Numbered" set, it's extremely cheap and fragile. I had to return one set to Amazon for replacement because when it arrived, all four corners of the box were split. The new one arrived very quickly with free shipping (because Amazon is awesome!) with no damage, but after opening and closing the box a couple of times, the corners are already starting to flex. I decided to take the records out and just put the box up on the shelf for display and leave it alone.Again, it's a great collection of 45s (after all, you get HEY JUDE on 45! One of the most iconic singles of all time!) but they could have used a little more care and imagination when designing the box.If you are deciding between this and the Magical Mystery Tour Deluxe Box Set (Blu-ray/DVD/double-vinyl EP) (1967) set, I would suggest the Magical Mystery Tour set instead. It comes with a lot more extras including a set of records and a book, plus the packaging is of far higher quality.
