Heavy Duty
I bought this to replace a broken one. My older one was plastic, did the job wonderfully, but after a ton of uses, and being squished, it broke. I found this one which is identical to my old one. Biggest difference I was not aware of until it arrived, is that it is ceramic. If its in the description I missed that part. I like how it holds the heat better than plastic so my coffee is good and hot when I go to take that first sip. It sits nicely on top of my mug every time i use it.Only negative about it: No "peep hole" to see how far up my mug the coffee is. Had a little overfill, nothing that a little adjustment to how I brew couldnt fix, but definitely would help.Wont be disappointed with this pour over.

Good Value, creates a coffee experience.
I grabbed this to see what all the 'buzz' was about these coffee drippers. I really thought it would just end up in a drawer in my kitchen never to be used past the first time. I use it frequently, it creates a whole new coffee experience, and as someone who can easily drink 3-4 pots a day I think I know the difference. This takes your coffee to a whole new level, I am unsure how or why but the flavor notes are more pronounced and I can pick up subtle undertones to my regular coffees that I normally don't with a regular coffee maker. These are easy to clean, much easier than cleaning out my coffee machine even. I do use a reusable filter that I grabbed since it is a more frugal option than continuing to use the cone paper filters.I highly recommend this for anyone who loves coffee the way I do, very giftable to any coffee connoisseur you may have in your life. Comes well packaged, and would be easily wrapped. Durable actually fairly heavy ceramic and stores neatly in the cupboard when not in use, or kind of cute on the counter too (I don't put mine away, this is my daily indulgence in the evening when I finally slow down for a minute to actually enjoy and experience my coffee).

It's pretty
I got this cause it looked nicer that the plastic one from the company you associate with these. I do think it looks nice, with it's matt black coating. They, big coffee stuff reviewers, say it has more thermal mass so the coffee is not as good. It does have more thermal mass, but I doubt I, or most people, could tell the difference. I guess I could warm sand in the microwave and bury this in it for 5 minutes to warm it up and then wrap insulation around it so it did not cool during brewing, but it's coffee. This one looks nice, better than shiny red in my opinion. Do you want to save a couple of bucks and have fewer thermal problems? One other downside is that if you drop this from about 2 feet onto stone countertops it, possibly even the countertop, will probably break, the plastic one will bounce.

Thumbs up
I like this more than I expected. It’s my first pour over maker and so far it’s been very easy to use. The hole is a good size so the coffee brews but doesn’t just sit in the top. I wanted a black ceramic dripper to match my black dishes. This fits the bill. It looks great next to my Noritake BOB plates. I hand wash most of the time, but it held up just fine in my dishwasher too.

not a great design
I've been using a plastic Melitta cone for many years and have been happy with the results. I needed a second pour over cone so I thought I would try a ceramic cone to see if it was better than plastic. I searched through products looking for an option that allowed me to use any filter, which for me meant can I pick up filters when I buy coffee at the store and not have to rely on two day Amazon delivery to drink a cup of coffee. This was the only reason I chose this product. My first attempt to brew coffee - the weight of the water immediately blew out the filter and everything poured into the cup. Why, because this cone has no bottom to support the filter. They presented this as a benefit but now it's seems clear that this is just a way of sugar-coating a cheap design - the other cones have bottom.Am I just a cranky reviewer and complaining because I had unrealistic expectations or because I'm using the cone wrong? I have literally made thousands of cups of pour-over cover (my exclusive option for 5 years) and this is the only time the bottom of a filter blew out.Last thought in case you are still considering this product. Look closely - the cone is on solid piece of ceramic, which I did not notice when I bought it. This means that if you use it, you don't have a cutout window to monitor how full your cup is.So, skip this and buy the plastic Melitta pour-over cone which is 1/3 the cost and, from years of experience, does a great job.

Quality product
I was surprised to find this as good of quality as it was. Fine molded porcelain piece… not cheap plastic. Also came in a foam packed box for reusable storage. I keep it in the original packaging for safe keeping when I travel.

Silt free coffee
It works perfectly. Just place a filter inside, add coffee and slowly pour hot water over the coffee grounds. The result is a delicious cup of coffee without any tiny particles whatsoever. It is made of a ceramic type of material, I wish they made a stainless one for travel and camping which would be unbreakable and less weight.
