Just what we needed to replace the mess on our kitchen counter. This is a very nice, well-designed and constructed secretary desk. It has 8 drawers and best of all, you can close it up to hide your disorganization -- things such as bills, coupons, etc. The manufacturer took some care with the design, including a bottom cutout for your legs and supporting side pieces that come out when you open the desk. The construction and color are really nice. The desk arrived with the top already assembled. The directions were clear; so adding the legs and bottom shelf was straightforward and took perhaps an hour. Because the desk was so well packaged for shipping (double boxed and well padded), I spent significantly more time cutting up the shipping boxes and foam. The desk appears to be very sturdy. We would definitely order this desk again!

This is a nice piece of furniture to have. Came almost completely put together, no scratches, sturdy and very heavy. It Can fold out to become a desk as well, so it is a space saver. I’m hesitant to buy furniture online and this one is a bit pricy, but I’m telling you, it’s well worth it. I would highly recommend!!

This was easy to assemble. It fit the space I needed perfectly and looks amazing. It’s sturdy. The top fold-down board moves with ease, but only if you move stuff around under it to make it fit. I wish it came with a matching chair. Also, I wish the drawers weren’t as loose. They’re like a car in a garage...no connection, just a block inside of a hole if that makes sense. I am happy with the purchase, but it’s not perfect.

We just got this on 01/30/17! We were holding our breath because other buyers had stated that parts of the desk were broken upon receiving! But as it turns out, everything was in intact! My Wife and I were impressed with the quality in appearance and solidness. It is attractive and feels steady and weighty! These are the qualities you look for in a desk. It is well constructed! The desk has a lot of drawer space, which makes it useful to store pens, paper clips, stapler, etc. All the little things that are necessary for a small office! I mean, this desk is top of the line!!! It will be the pièces de résistance of our study! We give it two thumbs up. Thank you Coaster Home Furnishings!!! :-)

Pros: Solidly built, extremely easy to assemble, and about as heavy as 'heirloom' furniture.Cons: cheap veneer, inconsistently stained, arrived chipped on front (probably from factory as box was intact?), but not badly enough to bother sending back due to weight etc.Severe Irritations: Open the box *outside* if you can, and bring the pieces in individually, or plan to have Styrofoam 'snow' all over whatever room you put it together in.Conclusion: 'Not bad' for mail order, but 'not good', either. Letter grade 'C'. It looks well enough at a distance, but when you get up to it, not so much. (dings in leather face, wormholes in wood species). I was hoping for better and wouldn't reorder. Its not likely to hold up to wear as I had to get the old English out to touch it up before even using it.

If you want an expensive looking desk, this is it! Fine details add to the quality of the desk. As you open the top, arms slide out to support it to provide additional work space. Velvet lined drawers. Super easy to put together (less than an hour). It looks beautiful. Product was very well packaged. This is perfect for British Colonial, tropical, traditional interiors. I was very hesitant based on other reviews, but this ended up being a much higher quality than I expected.

I love the quality of this desk and how well built it is but had to return mine as it was damaged. Amazon was great with replacing it and when I get the replacement I will redo review

Wow. This desk is a bargain. It was delivered quickly. From start to finish (dragging it into the kitchen from the porch to using it) took just under 45 minutes (and I'm 72 yrs old.) All it takes is to attach the legs and bottom and then moving it to where you want it. And it's beautiful. Solid wood, not veneer. Very nicely finished and cleverly designed with numerous drawers. Not to mention the perfectly placed hole in the back for cords and things. I am very pleased.
