LifeProofiPhone 12 Pro Max FRĒ Series Case - OCEAN VIOLET (BERRY CONSERVE/DUSTY LAVENDER), waterproof IP68, built-in screen protector, port cover protection, snaps to MagSafe

I ordered this case at the beginning of November, even before I received my new iPhone 12 Pro Max. I finally received on February 18th, a month & a half past the date it was projected to ship. Ever since dropping two brand new iPhones into the drink at the same time, I have always kept Lifeproof Fre cases on my phones. One thin I am not happy about with this particular case is with the front screen protector. There are tiny dots (not sure what else to call them) in rows all over the screen protector. I read a lot on my iPhones & at first I thought these things were specks of dust which I tried to clean off. They have an annoying iridescence that is distracting to the eye when I'm reading. I don't think the phone charges well through the case either, although it can be a bit difficult to position this iPhone due to the camera lenses.03/02/21 Update - The phone will not charge with this case on in any of the upright wireless charges which worked prior to putting the phone in the case. If I don't physically plug the phone in, it doesn't charge.

This case provides great protection against drops. We have children, (CLUMSY CHILDREN) who like to play with my times. And I can honestly say that the phone is in virtually the same condition aesthetically as when I got it even after several drops. I can’t speak much for the water protection because I’ve never been unfortunate enough need to find out. HOWEVER, Some of the drawbacks comes in the case’s design. It seems like it not only seals the phone from danger but from the world as well. Lol. When the case is on it makes phone calls choppy and extremely hard to hear from a volume standpoint for both you and the person you’re talking to. I end up having to take the case off just to hold a conversation with a caller. I’m not sure if this is due to the case interfering with the signal or it’s just blocking the speakers but it has noticeable effects on call features including FaceTime. And the little knob tasked with turning on/off silent mode. Is extremely hard to turn. It also doesn’t play well with other accessories such as Apple’s MagSafe charger. Overall it’s a great case for protection I just wish it didn’t effect call quality. My wife and I have the same phone and we bought the same case and to no surprise are experiencing the SAME problems.

I was hesitant to purchase after all the bad reviews however I have 0 issues with the face scan or the protector being too far from the screen and I have neither of these issues. Both are flawless. The case color is slightly deceiving.

This product is amazing! It has a perfect fit and I have no issues with buttons or touch. My favorite case of all!

This case is very bulky. They also sent me the wrong color. So I will be returning it.

The case bubbles up and it is very difficult to type and swipe with. I can’t even here my text tone all I hear is the plastic covering clicking. Will not buy again

I have been a faithful LifeProof customer since the iPhone 4. When I got my 12 XS Max, getting a LifeProof case was the obvious thing to do. I ordered one for both my husband and I. We finally got our cases and we put them on immediately. In the past, there has not been an issue with the cases and having a glass screen protector underneath but with this case, we had to remove our glass screen protectors. For some reason it made the front bubble up to the point we had to physically press down just to get any response from the screen. Once we removed them, we have not had any issues with the screen. I do feel like the sides of the case don't completely close, as there is gapping on both sides and no matter how much I press it together, it doesn't stay. Also, the door on the charging port is probably the poorest I have seen. We have only had our cases maybe two weeks and the hinge is already worn. It is only a matter of time before it snaps off. Besides that, I am very happy with this case. It is thin but protective and it is definitely grippy. I read one review that said the case was slick and I do not have that issue at all. I also read another review that mentioned dots on the screen protector. My case also has those but it in no way affects the screen or the view and I can only seen them then my screen is off and I hold my phone at an angle. Decent case, but the price point is crazy. It's about time LifeProof became budget friendly.
