CrossCalais Refillable Ballpoint Pen, Medium Ballpen, Includes Premium Gift Box - Chrome/Blue

I love the Calais ballpoint. I have the black matte pen and use it daily. It's great to write with, comfortable to hold, and balanced perfectly. If you don't like a pen with some girth and a little bit of weight, then this is not the pen for you. For me, I love the way it feels and looks. My only negative is that Cross ballpoint pens refills can be a bit finicky from time to time ... but 90% of the refills work great. So even with that, I still love this pen better than any other. Yeah, gel tip/rollerball pens will give a darker line, but those tend to smear. The ballpoint is reliable and works great on all types of surfaces/paper. Cant' recommend this pen enough - it's a keeper!!

My pen is so nice to use compared to the cheap disposable ones the ink is smooth and steady on paper. It’s really held its ‘new’ look even being used in a rugged work environment.

Easy to hold. Nice thick and heavy pen. Writes smooth and consistent. Good ink width and holds up great when traveling with the pen. My favorite pen. Bought a second pen when I though I lost my original pen. Would buy another pen if I need one in the future. Signed over $100M worth of corporate contracts with this pen over the past 12 years. People know you mean business when you pull this baby out to sign a business contract!

I like it; this pen is just as attractive as in the photos. It's solid, heavy, feels high quality, and when I write rapidly with it at work, it stays open without creeping closed, which means I don't have to repeatedly keep twisting it open again. There's only one flaw with it.. since over 50% of the pen is chrome, inevitably it gets fingerprints all over it that are very visible. I guess my options are to use a velvet glove on my writing hand, or, keep wiping it off.PS: I do a LOT of writing at work. The old disposable pens I used to have lasted about 3 weeks each. The ink in this pen lasted 9 weeks, and then it was easily replaced. So that's good.

I’ve been using Cross pens for many years.They write smoothly and are very comfortable to hold.

The black matte finish and silver trim is very refined and tasteful. The pen twist mechanism is flawless.I have bigger hands, this pen is very comfortable as compared to the Century which was always too thin for me.This pen coupled with a broad blue cross refill is perfection.Not to mention a lifetime warranty on this pen from Cross, who does that anymore? Montblanc doesn’t even do that.

I have been an AT cross fan for many years several decades Go and II cannot use the smaller thin pence because of the hand surgery I had so this this is the width and size of this pen is perfect you can't go wrong you have the AT cross company backing you app with a lifetime mechanical warranty and they're very attractive pens soI highly I highly recommended

I write a lot and meet with clients on a regular basis. Yet, I hate spending $$$ on high end pens and possibly losing them. I used to love Cross pens because of the way they write, but disliked the old ultra thin pens. When I saw this large more robust design, I was intrigued and ordered it.For the money, I could not be more pleased. It is aesthetically pleasing, with a combination of deep blue, almost cobalt color in conjunction with chrome. Writes like a dream and an ultra reliable traditional Cross designed twist mechanism.I don't carry this pen with me, but instead keep it in my office.I highly recommend this pen for yourself or a gift.
