We bought this to store a fleet of vehicle keys, retail location keys and some smaller items. It was just deep enough for our hundreds of keys. It is very solid in feel and weight. I would highly recommend this key vault. It's also nice that it is both digital entry, with back up keyed entry. In our application, we cut into the drywall in an office and attached it very solidly to the studs behind it. This keeps it more secure and recesses it another 5/8".

A metal safe and the most important part... the opening knob is PLASTIC! Broke. And NO ONE at the company was very helpful... don't even think of calling them, not possible... email only and slow uncaring results. I have a useless safe... I bought 3 of these and am sorry I did... I WILL NEVER BUY A BARSKA SAFE AGAIN !!!!!!!!

We have had this a couple of months when we tried to open the door the other day and it wouldn't unlock and it seems like something fell apart inside the handle. Couldn't even open it with the supplied key. We had to pry it open and basically destroy it as per the rep at Barska instructed us to do. Now we receive a RMA to return it and they want a $70 "warranty fee" +shipping. That won't be much less than the $200 we paid for it... Don't buy this junky key safe!!
