Wood Working 3-Step Lathe Buffing System 16" #2MT Mandrel (Morse Taper 2 Mounts) Heavy Duty -1SET

First I want to say that this buffing mandrel is well made and will finished and I have no problem with the item itself. I took away one star because of the lack of information about the item. I did not buy it for the advertised purpose of a buffing mandrel. I bought it to use as a woodturning mandrel and the metric shaft size was a suprise since all my woodworking drill bits are in fractions of an inch. This little suprise is not a deal breaker for me. I just ordered a 20mm drill bit to use with this mandral. I also ordered a 51/64" drill bit is case the 20mm is too tight, which should give a little wiggle room if needed. The only flaw I have found is that the small end of the taper is about 0.002" undersized to be a perfect fit is the lathe taper but that is not a problem and it works just fine.The shaft is 20mm. - The nuts are 20mm and the OD of the nuts is about 29mm but an adjustable wrench will work fine if you don't have metric wrenches that big. A1-3/16" wrench is a little loose but could be used in a pinch. The washers are 21mm ID and 50mm OD.

This item is not an MT2 as advertised, but it's not an MT1 either.It's too large and won't fit and MT1, but it's also way too smalland won't fit an MT2 either. I have no idea what this fits. I purchasedan MT2 to MT1 adapter. but as I've said. It is to big and won't fit.Good Luck if you purchase one of these.

Not a MT 2...... do not bother with this thing, however, it is a solid 3/4: cold roll bar.

Shipping was on time, product arrived in good condition. There however were no instructions included. Just go to YouTube, there are plenty of videos on how to assemble, set up and use. This is a good value for the money

Didn't fit my MT2, i had to machine the taper part on my metal lathe a little deeper still not a good fit but safe enough. When i turned on the wood lathe it wobbled and hopped, good thing it was on the lowest RPM thats all it good for super low RPM. Honestly i paid too much, its a cheapo Chinese piece of junk

Solid, sturdy, very good quality. Didn’t have a chance to use it yet though.

Works great just make sure you check the bolts periodically
