Q: Does anyone ha the actual girth measurement (not the advertised one) of the xxs and xs harnesses? my dog's girth is 17.5in. should i size up or down??

XXS is 13-17 in and XS is 17-22 in. Ruffwear has a great sizing chart that can be found on their website and recommends erring on the side of getting the smaller size rather than the larger size if you feel you are between sizes.

Q: How does this harness work for boy dogs

Q: Does this harness clip at a single point or do you have to refit every time?

You only have to fit it once. It keeps a good fit. I use it on my dog everyday. She’s tied on a lead when she goes out. She barks and pulls to the end of the lead every time dogs or trucks pass by. The only thing I’ve noticed is after a long time of pulling it comes loose a little but I just tighten it up a little and she’s good to go.

Q: Has anyone put this harness on a great dane? If so, can you post a picture? I'm wondering if it will be too short for the length of her chest.

I love it for my Great Dane! He’s 135lbs, 32 inch chest, 10 months—so having something I could grab on to and was secure was a huge necessity. We did have to let out the chest straps all the way but it fits him great. It won’t let me post a picture and I don’t have a video, sorry, but it fits him great!!
