But Andrew Murray has given us 35 short chapters on how and why we should spend more time preparing ourselves even before we open the Bible.I am a morning person, so I love to get up early to spend my quiet time with God before my day gets started. Whether you are a morning person or not, Andrew Murray makes a pretty good case for why the morning hour with God is indispensable. (I know my "night owl" friends may groan at this, but you really should check this out!)If you would like to see your personal devotional time become a richer time with God, you will do well to read The Inner Chamber & The Inner Life.

This small book is 36 two to three page reflections on the inner devotional life. It covers the essence of spending time in God's presence, prayer, reading the Word and venturing through one's day in meditative contemplation with the Lord.Like all Murray's books it contains some tremendous insights and perspectives on how to continually abide with the Lord. It can take a little while to get used to Murray's formal style of writing but once you have his meaning becomes very clear.When the modern church is lacking solid bible understanding and the knowledge on how to abide with the Lord this is a very good guide to assist someone in developing a daily 'inner chamber'.

I recommend this to anyone who is seeking a deeper, purer walk with the Living God...through Christ, in the power of the Holy Spirit.Rich. Such richness to the wisdom in these pages. Mr.Murray's intimacy with the Father will give you a hunger for the same.Key insights in how to mature as a believer can be taken from this reading. I took many notes, which I do not often do when reading. But this work is so anointed that I want to go over what God spoke through this book to me.I do think this book would benefit new believers, but will deepen certainly the walk of seasoned followers.Beautiful timeless work.

The Inner Chamber and The Inner Life is another wonderful teaching that has filled me to overflowing. It has become obvious to me that Andrew Murray is very anointed of God in his messages that will endure for decades, and centuries to come. A review of all that happens in the morning time with God focused on the person of Christ. Simple language yet powerful. A book I will return to as I grow.

For those Christians who have lost their zeal, who have weak faith, who want a more effective prayer life that gets results, and who desire to know true fellowship with God—this book is what you need to understand how these blessings can be achieved. It is a plain and simple manual that is also very practical.

I chose this book because I want to learn how to reach the throne of GOd during prayer. I realize that there is prayer but then ther is a time when we pray, we tough the throne of God. This is intercessory prayer and this kind of prayer only happens in the inner chambers. This kind of prayer brings us closer to God and further away from the cares of life. When we enter the inner chambers and enter continuously, we then learn how to inter the inner life. I did not like the lay out of this book, but the material is a blessing.

I downloaded this Christian book as an e book and then very much wanted a hard copyThe book is in small sections or chapters on the theme of spending time with God at the beginning of the day; to realise and live out of His presence throughout the dayAndrew Murray seems to live what he writes and the book is full of encouragement and for me much insight into life with and in Christ; the chapters were published around the first decade of the 20th Century so the reader needs to work at the language sometimes(having bought the book I needed a highlighter to annotate the chapters and refer back and reflect further on the annotations)I think I am an Andrew Murray fan but in this book I find much wisdom to reflect on, to pray about and lay before GOD that I might allow God to have His way in my life and teach me by His Holy Spirit

Would buy more books by Andrew Murray, have read a few already. Very informative and good learning books about God.

I have not finished reading this book as yet, but am finding it very good. It explores easy steps to take, to improve your daily devotions with the Lord. Andrew Murray is a great writer. I would be happy to recommend this book

If you are seeking to go deeper in God, to find His will and purpose for your life, it can only be found in "the inner chamber".
