This is as simple as it can get. I wanted to have my gaming computer in my office, but wanted a clean looking passthrough on the wall for USB 3 peripherals and video to go to my living room. This one solved the USB part perfectly. (A similar HDMI product solved the other half) Some of the other USB options were trying to do a A to A type connection, which always causes issues. This one it literally just a small extension cable, with keystones on the ends. Perfect!

if you're trying to run a USB 3.0 cable/connection through a wall this is a must have. Most of the USB keystones out there will require you to use some special A-A cable or bend the crap out of your cables to even fit (they're usually 2 inches deep). I've tried them all. With two of these keystone adapters and a standard A-to-B cable, you can run your webcam connection through a wall. Well done!

I do AV for a living so these fit a niche for me when building certain video conferencing rooms. They are modestly priced when compared to items similar in design. I haven't had one fail yet if you understand the limitations of extending USB. I generally use these in a wall plate or table box that accepts standard keystone inserts. I'm giving it 4 only because I would like to see the cord about 6" longer, and the connector and wire strain relief just a little shorter overall. They are sometimes hard to fit in Byrne's style table boxes, but they do barely make it.

Have tried several USB3 keystones, and hit so many issues.Decided to finally go with a USB3-B keystone and so glad I did.. easy install, and works perfectly with my USB3 capture cards and external drives at full 5Gbps+ speed

It randomly freezes other USB devices connects to the same bus.
