ECCOMen's Exohikem' High Rise Hiking Boots

I compared quite a few boots around this price level. ECCO aren't known for their walking boots, so it was a bit of a gamble, but the spec is great and you can see that the designers knew what they were doing. These are reasonably light and are ideal as a mid way boot between walking shoes and hardy winter walkers. But that's not to say that I wouldn't be confident in using them in all conditions. ECCO have gone for a grippy rubber sole rather than a common Vibram version and only time will tell if that's a better choice - I suspect so, given the variety of quality under the Vibram moniker. These boots are very comfortable and grip you feet snugly. They ooze a sense of quality in the workmanship. I think it's difficult to find a boot as good as this for the price, despite the range of choices available. So put these on your list if you are looking for a top of the range lightweight hiking boot.

I’ve taken these on rugged Welsh walks in the hills, valley and coast. They've kept my feet warm in freezing and wet weather. The laces stayed tied and the boots were easy to break in. The heel protector is particularly nice.

Perfect fit, great heal support

I've had these about 6months and rarely wear them, they both let water in at the toe end, same place on each boot. Will approach Ecco to see what they can do.

Leaked the fourth time I wore them, possibly through the rivet. Took two weeks to get a response, Ecco said the boots not intended to be waterproof. The phrase "to keep your feet dry" apparently means something different to them.Because Ecco are registered in Switzerland, you have no consumer rights. They were gleeful about that.And if you go to Trustpilot you'll see others have the same issue. The 'Trustpilot reviews' on the Ecco website are all the best ones selected by Ecco.

Gute Passform, auch für etwas breitere Füße, und vor allem NICHT made in China.

These boots have been so great that I purchased a second pair to have after my first pair wears out! They are wide enough to wear with a thick sock, but can be snugged up for a thin sock. The Michelin sole has excellent grip, even on ice. Support and comfort are unsurpassed. These boots were out of stock in the US, so I ordered them from Amazon.de.

Ein prima Wanderschuh, aber die Schnürsenkel sind nur durch Ösen gezogen. Das macht das Festziehen schwieriger. Insgesamt fällt der Schuh etwas größer aus, gefühlt 45,5, 😀👍
