Nice pillow but not really what I was looking for.
I recently underwent a major neck surgery (3 level cervical fusion) that prompted me to finally replace an old, worn out pillow I've had for years. After careful research, consideration and reading countless reviews I settled on this pillow. It met the most requirements in a pillow I was looking for (at least I thought). My biggest complaint is even though I bought the medium firm, If I fluff the pillow and lay on it without any adjustment my head sinks so far into the pillow that it nearly bottoms out and the sides (king size pillow) are so inflated with air that the pillow becomes higher on either side of my head than my face. I literally cannot see my wife laying beside me. I constantly have to adjust this pillow to make it right. If you are a side sleeper this pillow is nice to lay your head on 1/3 of the pillow and lay the other 2/3 on your chest and stomach. That said, once it's right and well adjusted it is comfortable. Also, when I initially lay on it and mash the air from inside the pillow, there is a noticeable unpleasant odor that comes from within the pillow. Not overwhelming but it is definitely there. I hope this subsides with time. All in all I believe this to be a nice, quality pillow. I think that perhaps i would be better suited for a feather pillow instead of a down pillow. A pillow like my grandmother used to have that had the blue and white striped case and had more support without constant adjusting. This pillow is very, very soft to lay on with little to no spring to it. You have to adjust it and keep pulling it towards you to get any support. Again, this pillow may be just right for you but it is not what I was hoping for. I will likely pass this down to my son to avoid the hassle of a return.

This goose down pillow is well made, feels great, and holds its shape well
I am really excited about this goose down (medium firmness) pillow. It arrived yesterday, so I have only slept on it one night. But I think it meets my needs perfectly. I have been sleeping on 100 percent goose down pillows for 25 years. I recently decided to scrap all of my pillows and get new ones. I use two pillows and I have two homes, so I recently purchased four new pillows, all in the $70 - $95 range. I think this one was the most expensive, but it may just be my favorite. All four of the pillows I recently bought are different and I bought three of them from Amazon. The other two from Amazon are another goose down pillow but in firm and the Sleep Better Iso-Cool Memory Foam Pillow. I also bought a Stearns and Foster side sleeper at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. I am happy with all of them in different ways, but I think this one may be the best one. The firm goose down pillow is a bit too firm for me. The Iso-Cool pillow is the heaviest, and has an interesting feel when I put my head on it (I would put this one in 2nd place).I just love the softer feel of the goose down pillows and the way they bounce back into shape with just a quick fluff. I was reluctant to buy this one at first, because the description didn't say 100% goose down. But I posted a question and a few people answered that it does appear to be all goose down and no feathers, so I took a chance. I am 100% satisfied with the feel of the pillow and I think the medium firmness is perfect. The pillow appears to be well made and is large and fluffy. It didn't sag at all during the night and hardly needed any fluffing up this morning. Hopefully I can stop buying pillows for awhile ... it is getting expensive, but very much worth it when considering how important getting a good night's sleep is.

Best pillow for a side sleeper
This pillow is stuffed. Unlike many down pillows you may have bought, this one will barely fit in a standard pillowcase because it is stuffed full. As such, it is excellent for a side sleeper, but will likely be too full for a back or stomach sleeper. Appears to have no pinfeathers, which is a improvement over my last pillow from Costco. After three months, as slight decrease in volume - as would be expected. Still quite happily sleeping on my side!

I hadn't been able to find a good pillow in years
I hadn't been able to find a good pillow in years! I've tried so many from different stores (Target, Costco, etc., different brands) and after too many nights of bad sleep/neck pain I finally decided to do some research and pick one regardless of cost. I've had this for almost two months and so far so good. It has the right amount of fluffiness, but it doesn't go completely flat, like a lot of pillows do. However, I didn't give it 5 stars because I'm a side-sleeper and this is really more comfortable for back-sleeping (which I read in other reviews but ignored and bought it anyway). Also, and this isn't the pillow's fault, after sleeping on too-flat pillows for so long I'm inclined to prop my arm under my head while I'm sleeping. I don't need to do that with this pillow, but now my body is trained that way and so my head is propped up too high. Sigh. Anyway, assuming I can re-train my body to sleep in a proper position, this pillow will be perfect!

this is a very nice one. Medium firm
For those who are familiar with down pillows, this is a very nice one. Medium firm, very good fill, all down, no prickly feathers. Have had the pillow for about 3 months and it holds it "puffiness" well. I fluff nightly and highly recommend this. It provides the loft you'll want. Don't be afraid of fluffing, only takes about 10 seconds. Did not give 5 stars only for the reason that I have only had to purchase 3 downy's in 30 years. Hard to give the highest rating to something you do not have many comparisons to. Was not put off by the price. Last one I bought at Kohls' was 14 years ago, held up quite well till recently and was comparably priced considering the passage of time. Would buy again and if you are looking for a downy with decent support(it's a down pillow, they are Never excessively supportive) I'd say give this one a try.

Very happy
I have never had a new goose down pillow. My neck started to hurt from the inexpensive pillow I was using so I finally decided to treat myself to a "high dollar" pillow. I am a side/stomach sleeper and had researched many pillows before deciding on this one. So far this pillow snaps into shape but since I have never had a new goose down pillow this may be expected for a period of time. So far, I am very happy with this pillow.
