SavioWater Master Clear 2220GPH Submersible Pond Pump

This was just the pump I needed at a reasonable price. It was broken in transit but the vendor made good immediately. The pump works and does just what it was intended to do, pump water for my waterfall.

This is a good pump,very easy to clean and works well. This is my second one after 6 years which isn't bad since it runs continuous and I abuse it regularly by having the filter clogged. This pump draws 600watts so it costs about a dollar a day to operate (.10 KWH). I considered a more expensive pump that draws less current but my current plumbing situation is more favorable to using this. If you are starting from scratch and not confined to the Savio skimmer and run 24 hours I would buy something more efficient. If you just run the waterfall a few hours this is perfect.

This unit does not seem to be very reliable in recent years. My original unit, installed in 2005, lasted 8 years before it failed. Since then I have had to replace this pump 2 times. The first replacement lasted 18 months and this latest unit a mere 9 months. All units are shorting internally causing the CFCI to trip out the pump. The pump runs 24 hours a day. The pump works great when it works, but the longevity stinks.

Had one that burned out after 10 years. In it's defense, I didn't cover the waterfall during a re-roofing and a lot of debris got into the system. The new pump was pretty much identical and replaced easily. Hopefully another 10 years!

This is an excellent pump. Very durable and lasts for many years.

This is my second Water Master Clear Pump. The first one lasted 6+ years running 24/7 year round in all types of weather and temperature extremes in my outdoor waterfall feature. It gave flawless service without cleaning or any other maintenence. In addition, the water being serviced contained copper sulphate for algae control,(highly corrosive), which did not affect the function of the pump. I would recommend this "workhorse" to anyone for long term heavy duty action.

I purchased this pump to replace one of the same brand and model which gave many years of dependable service in a disappearing water fountain. This fountain runs 12 hours a day for 9 months of the year. I have tried other pumps in this fountain, but have not found one which had the performance and reliability of this one. Very satisfied with the product

It's nice when it works. This is the 3rd pump on same pond. First came with the house, second lasted 3 years, this one failed after 2 month. All started failing by tripping GFCI. I replaced the GFCI, tried different outlets, when wet, after a while, it will trip it.
