Thanks Excell ...for some old and new memories!
I, like several other customers have an old Sears Silvertone 6 transistor radio that I got for a 9th birthday present in 1961. A few years back, Eveready stopped producing the 206 battery and I missed being able to play my now 56 year old radio. About a year after I got it, the ubiquitous square 9 volt battery had taken over the small transistor radio market and over the years, the 206 battery became scarce. I remember paying 79 cents to get a genuine Sears "Mercury" battery for it, which was "big money" for me at the age of 10! Even tho' this battery cost more than the radio did in 1961, it was worth it to hear my old friend in action again! The nice thing is, this battery is an alkaline battery, while the old 206 was a carbon-zinc design, so I know it will last a lot longer! But now in 2017, in North Carolina, it won't be picking up 77 WABC New York, which that old radio was always tuned to when I was a kid! No more new Beatles songs and Cousin Brucie! Oh well, I'll make some new memories!

Great find!
I thought I'd never find another battery for the Silvertone (Sears) transistor radio I was given as a child. Bingo!Lots of static of course but a perfect fit!

Replacement for TEAC ME-120 / 80 or NAKAMICHI CM-300 Microphone
The TEAC ME-120 & ME-80 (Nakamichi CM-300) are Great eletect microphones for a range of audio uses (recording, studio vocals/instrumentals, voice over) but the 8.4 or 9.6V mercury battery has long since been unavailable. This battery is a excellent replacement for these microphones. One caveat, the outer paper cover is just slightly too big to go down inside the TEAC microphone tube. Easily solved by peeling a couple of layers of the paper cover off and it slides right into place.

Never worked well
Battery had low power from the beginning. Battery tester said replace. Radio has little or no volume at all.

Works perfect, but a little fat for my mic.
This 9 volt battery worked perfect in my Nakamichi CM-300 mic, once I removed the outer wrapper on the battery.

Battery works with old transistor Radio as advertised.
It is an expensive non-standard 9 Volt battery that works with my Motorola Transistor Radio as advertised, at first I thought it would not fit in the battery holder, I forced it in and the radio is fine, to my delight the radio works....Good quality product.....Will likely buy again eventually....In the very long term.....
