Fun and educational history
I gave this as a Christmas gift to my spouse, who really likes puzzles. She loved it. It took her more than a week to put together (which is a good thing -- she had fun the whole time). The three levels all relate to each other but differ in methods of putting them together, and this made it more interesting -- plus the buildings were VERY interesting to fiddle with and discover. We do not live in London, so I can't comment on the wisdom of including certain things over others (as other reviewers have discussed), but we are going to go there this year and it was a great way to learn about the history and the architecture of the city. The base layer is the most challenging part, as the greatest proportion of the pieces are in that layer. But it was no harder than most 2D puzzles out there. The product we received was the same as the one pictured, and was of high quality construction. I'd recommend this to anyone who it about to visit London!

Great puzzle
This puzzle is definitely a challenge but very satisfying.

Christmas fun!
Fun for the whole family to participate in after x-mas festivities. Educational for the little ones as well! The pieces were a little difficult because they are all the same but it was fun learning about the different sites around London.

so much fun!
So this puzzle is quite challenging to put together but so much fun! You first create London before the 1666 Great Fire, then build literally on top of it modern London with all its (very concentrated) 1960-2014 skyscrapers. The geographical scope is the Thames river from Westminster Cathedral & Abby & Battersea Power Station (west) to Greenwich/O2 arena (east). Seems like a great way to learn how central London is laid out, a bit of its pre-1666 history, and how important the Thames has been to development over centuries.

These 4D puzzle's are a lot of fun for geography lovers
I get hours of enjoyment doing these puzzles. I have New York, Las Vegas, L.A., London and now San Francisco and will probably buy more. They are hard challenging jigsaw puzzles but they are made with the highest quality. very rarely do the wrong pieces fit and if they do the designs don't match. I love adding the little buildings in the order they were built. The First puzzle is hard, the second puzzle is easier and the final puzzle is the easiest. This is a great puzzle for a family with different ages to work on different parts of it.

What a disappointment!
Purchase of this puzzle is a bad investment of time and money. London was my home and there is no city I love more, so I expected hours of enjoyment from this puzzle. I like challenge and had no issue with the difficulty of putting together hundreds of pieces that have the same shape. Disappointment began to build, however, as I worked on the boring, tedious first layer. The minimal historical information in that endless expanse of one-coloured streets was a missed opportunity to educate and pique interest in what was yet to come. Upon completion of the entire puzzle my disappointment turned to real irritation. I was astounded by the lack of imagination that rationalized including the 20th century slabs of concrete that now occupy the old wharves, rather than many of the treasures that make London uniquely historic. Much may have been lost to the Blitz, but how could the old Guildhall, Leadenhall and Smithfield mkts, Somerset House, the Inns of Court, Horse Guards Parade, Lambath Palace, Southark Cathedral -- even the National Theatre -- and so many other more important sites in the oldest part of the city be excluded in favour of pieces of plastic that represent generic office towers? And surely it would have been of more interest to the puzzle-worker to have shifted the thing west to include Regents Park, St James's Palace, Hyde Park, Chelsea, and Kensington. What a waste!

Daunting project! Quality is great, but too challenging for us!
My grandkids will visit London in a couple of months, and I thought this would be a really interesting project. My 12-year-old granddaughter and I got started. The quality of the puzzle is wonderful but the base layer does not have many distinguishing features and the patterns are very repetitive. Not really teaching much about London. We didn’t get as far as adding the other layers. I thought it would have some landmarks not buildings, but landmarks even in the lower base. More than we bargained for in terms of a challenge!
