As with any B and O device, what you get is pared back design elegance. This speaker is just so simple; a rectangular brick, very understated with a leather carry strap which has a very small brand logo. It’s quite heavy, but very portable and will be great for outdoor use in the garden when the weather improves.As for the sound, it’s everything I’d expect from a brand dedicated to delivering top class sound. I don’t know how the technology works, but it seems incredible that so much sound can come out of one relatively small source. It really fills the room and that’s without it being at full volume. The bass is rich, deep and doesn’t overpower everything else. The trebles and Mids are sharp, clear and distinct. The all round sound is so well defined, I’ve heard small guitar riffs I haven’t picked up easily on other speakers. I just love it. I’m even using it to listen to audiobooks; it’s as if the reader is in the room with me. Built to last, obviously, it pairs immediately with iPod, iPhone and iPad. The phone will mag charge on top of the unit, which is useful and the player states charged for hours after a single charge. I absolutely love it.

The media could not be loaded. What an engineering marvel. You are forced to take a 2nd look at where such a deep full sound is coming from. Very top notch product . I have both the Sonos era 300 and the Bose flexmax speakers . This B and O is the tops. No regrets splashing out on it .

Once you have downloaded the Bang and Olufsen app on your phone, everything else is plain sailing and the speaker connects effortlessly with spotify or Amazon music.As you would expect from a premium brand, the sound is rich and elegant.Five stars for quality and design.

I don't consider myself an audiophile, but I do consider myself a musician with a good ear, so I need a level of sound quality enough to forget the reproduction mechanism and get lost in the actual listening to the music.I'm giving this amazing piece of kit just 4 stars simply to make the point that indoors, while it sounds fantastic, it does not sound at all authentic when playing acoustic instruments. As you would expect from B&O the sound reproduction is of maximal quality. Every sonic detail can be discerned with complete clarity. On the other hand there is a quality to the sound that I found took some getting used to. It is somehow unnaturally rich, particularly at the low end. As such, the music can sound as though it is being projected straight into one's head, strangely bypassing the ears. It also sounds sufficiently unnatural for classical and acoustic music that I would not want it to be my regular HiFi. This effect can, on the other hand, add some extra kick to electric and electronic music. Which can be fun sometimes. My six month old granddaughter seems to be a shred metal fan.The thing really comes into its own in the outdoors where the extra bass offsets the attenuation of the open air and one ends up with a really good living room quality HiFi that sounds really powerful close by, but that falls off rapidly enough with distance to not disturb the neighbours. It's been a great thing to have around for the summer.It has a big battery which I suspect has been engineered into the sound reproduction. I've only needed to recharge it a couple of times in the months I've had it.

not cheap but this is a case of you get more than you pay for. the sound from this is awesome, wherever you place it, it just sound fantastic. Its got it all, clarity, bass, power, and audible at all volumes crystal clear. Best thing I have bought in years. Totally love it. IF you love music you wont be disappointed, you will listen to even more of your favourite tunes. I have it on when i working from home, keeps me very happy !

I am an O.A.P. Having to hear this BEOLIT 20 for the first time is nothing I can put to words it is my constant companion if you are reading this don,t hesitate in my senior years as a music fan listening from the 1950s to the present day having a personal playlist on Spotify of over 1200 tunes and the sound is Music to my ears. happy old B.O.F.

This is a beautiful piece of equipment. It sounds fantastic, and the shimmering blue under the grill in the right light looks stunning. It connected to fire tv and regular television no problem, even an echo if you want a better sound. The B&O app on my phone found it straight away and linked no problem, downloaded the software for the latest update, and away you go. There are controls on top of the speaker for sound etc but you can do this through the app for ease of use.The B&O app isn't to everyone's taste but I like the wheel to create presets once you take it out of the optimal setting you can create a film or music setting depending on tastes and to relieve some of the bass that is not always needed.Saving up to buy another to make a pair. Well boxed, and great delivery from Amazon!
