Compre este cable para mi Mac, antes de actualizar a Sierra, podía utilizar un cable HDMI 2.0 y obtener resolución 4k a 60hz sin problema, pero desde que actualice a Sierra, únicamente me permitía 30HZ por medido de HDMI lo que era frustrante, tras buscar información descubrí que este cable me podría ayudar a tener 4k a 60hz nuevamente en mi Mac, basta decir que efectivamente el cable funciona a la perfección, solo que tiene un problema (aunque este problema es del sistema operativo y no del cable), lo se por que ya probé con otros dos cables similares de diferentes marcas y el problema es igual, el problema radica en que si estas usando el adaptador y apagas la pantalla 4k, al encenderla nuevamente aparece una pantalla azul para arreglarlo debes o desconectar el cable y volverlo a conectar o hacer un script que simule el apagado de la pantalla desde al applescript, es un poco molesto, pero es la única solución para tener 4k a 60hz en Mac, cabe también aclarar que lo probé en windows 7 y allí si funciona sin ningún problema, si lo quieres para windows no lo pienses 2 veces este es el mejor cable que vas a encontrar, si lo quieres para Mac solo toma en cuenta lo que comenté anteriormente.

This adapter works well on the Mac under Mojave. Gives me the full 4k output and I actually have it plugged into another USB3 hub. The only slight negative is there is noticable lag using it, and the DisplayLink process can use a fair bit of CPU .. but I suppose this is to be expected as we're pushing 4x as much output changes as with a 1080p screen.It is fully compatible and works each time I plug it in... unlike the 4k display-port on my macbook (which has actually died). For the price, this was the best one and it's worked reliably. Thanks Vantec!

For some reason I could nto get these to work at 60hz. Maybe the firmware is not compatible or something but there is a difference between these and the ClUB3D ones... the firmware there is upgradeable and you can flash it yourself with the tool provided in downloads.Overall I like the build quality of these more htey are more durable and look almost rugged heavy duty if you know what I mean.

Bought it to use with MacBook Pro + HDMI2.0 cable + LG 4K monitor, hoping it would support 4K@60Hz as claimed by manufacturer. Unfortunately, all I can get is 4K@30Hz. This is similar to what I'm getting with a passive adapter, suggesting that this unit may be just that. BTW, I tried with dongle from another supplier and it worked properly, so it is not my computer that's a problem. Will be checking with Amazon on what my options are for return.Not recommended, as it turned out to be a waste of money and time to verify where the problem is.

It works great with my NUC connected to my TCL series-4 55" TV in my living room. Don't cheap out as I first did, buy an active adapter, other sub-$10 adapters sold on Amazon do NOT support 4K.
