Q: Is this good for a Shih-Tzu?

It's PERFECT for a shih tzu! Slowed mine down so she doesn't "reverse sneeze" or gag. Also, it reduces air gulping so not as much "manly" burping in my face afterwards. Have had mine since 2020 & it's still going strong!

Q: What is the height on tallest side and on shortest side of the bowl (not the package) The sides are 8” in length, correct?

It is like 2 inches high on highest side and 1 inch on lowest. It works spectacularly for our little Frenchie. Dogs bigger than that it is too small. But this has slowed down our little gal like crazy. And I really think she likes to check all the pockets for kibbles.

This feeder is 8” x 8” square . It is slightly tilted on one end . I bought it for a Frenchie that ate too fast . This dish works great and I definitely recommend it for flat faced dogs . It also reduced him passing gas .
