Exactly what I needed!

Since I was a child, I loved the wooden-handled ones as I thought they were good quality, so after several years of not doing rug-hooking, I ordered a rug-hooking package. It came with what I thought was a poor-quality tool (the one with the green plastic handle), so I ordered what I thought was the better one (the wooden handle) without trying the green plastic one. With the wooden one, rarely could I get a good stitch because it kept catching within the piece of wool and tearing it. I then tried what I thought was the 'poor-quality' tool (the green handle) where I got perfect stitches. I can only attribute this to the fact that today's squares are smaller, and the hook on the "modern" green tool is also smaller. The wooden-handled tool has a larger hook, it is longer, it sticks out a bit compared to the green one, and does not have as much space for the wool as the green one. Maybe the wooden-tool one is for the older rug-hooking with the larger squares, I don't know. I can only judge the results.

It's an alright product for the price, but I did have to glue the metal hook back onto the wooden handle... like immediately. Didn't even knot one piece of yarn.
