Packed with facts and opinions
Heep are my favourite band and I bought this because of that, but didn’t really know what to expect. What I found was a book packed with information, facts and opinions of every album and track recorded by the band in the 70s, and a rundown of their career to date.It is a hugely entertaining read. Steve is very honest with his views, and will heavily criticise where he considers necessary. Agree or disagree, it is fantastic to hear the views from someone who is clearly also a fan of the band.It also made me dig out all those old albums again and reminded me of why I love the band so much, and wonder why the hell I haven’t listened to them for so long.

Biography
Having been a fan of Uriah Heep since the early 1970s I came to this book with interest. Back in the day the only way I had access to information on UH was via the music press (ie Sounds, New Musical Express) etc. Clearly the music journalists were not fans and were actually quite scathing in their reviews.Decades is a great behind the scenes account of Uriah Heep and shows the life of the band on the road and the challenges they faced at the time.I enjoyed this book and will probably read it again and will recommend it to family, friends and colleagues.

Great story about Uriah Heep
I bought this as a gift for my husband, who is a personal friend of the band members. He said the book was awesome and provided a good history about the band. He had a hard time putting the book down, which is always a good sign.
