An excellent book that gives practical advice on how to garden in cold climates for l the best food production I highly recommend this book for anyone wanting to produce food for their family.

This book is what I was looking for! I haven't finished it, but it is well written, loaded with helpful information and exactly what I need!

I am a relatively experienced home urban gardener, been at it for 20+years. There's always more to learn. This book has inspired me to make additional raised beds, to think about companion planting and extending the garden season into the winter via the use of covers and deep mulch. It's an enjoyable book to read and the pictures are nice. I recommend this book to anyone who gardens.

I am looking at my shelf of 20 gardening books purchased in the last 12 months and this is my favourite. I live in Southern England, so rather distinct from the location of the writer, however, I found the advice, tips and plans to be a good guide and an even better inspiration. Well written and illustrated; this will be a good reference for years to come.
