This is a pretty strong surface charger that works well for every surface pro short of the first and second generations If you happen to have a surface book pro then this will work but it may not charge very quickly as the wattage requirement difference. Compared to other 3rd party charger, this charging brick looks pretty close to the original surface charger that you would get for a surface pros. The difference is in the feel. It does feels cheaper in quality but you are just paying a fraction of a replacement charger would cost. It also is pretty easy to scratch up like the original pro charger which is a bit of a bummer. It does feel a tad lighter than the original charger. It does have the same USB port on the charging brick as well if you want to plug in USB devices for charging. It does not have any issues with charging my phone at the same time but it is not exactly "fast charging". It is just your normal charging speed. This surface charger has the same cable length as the original charger. In terms of heat, this device does get a bit warm or hot during charging as it would with the original charger. That being said, I would still make sure to keep the charger out in the open to avoid it getting fried from excess heat. The unique thing about this charger is that it has an attachment on it that makes it look more like a surface go charger. This helps reduce the cable length if you need to which is pretty cool. It does make this charging brick take up a bit more space on the outlet which is a down side. It has the same light indicator to show that it is connected and charging the tablet. At least I can tell if the device is working without having to turn my surface on It can charge a surface laptop in relatively under four to five hours depending on if you are using the device during the time of the charge. If it is off, you can probably get it fully charged in under three hours depending on the device you are trying to charge. Again the material this charger has does feel a bit cheaper on the outside compared to an original charger. It feels a bit rougher than the OEM charger but the shape is the same compared to the OEM. Overall this is a great replacement or spare charger that actually runs pretty much the same as the original charger. It has pretty much all the same features as the original charger and does the same job for a cheaper price. The neat thing is that you are able to replace the plug so you get a shorter cable when needed. I am surprised this one did not come with a carrying case as some other chargers do. There is also no cable ties so it is a bit hard to organize the cable in your bag.

This charger is highly effective and efficient! It charges rapidly and securely fits into my surface pro! I love how it can come apart and become more compact in order to put it into my computer bag & travel with it! Definitely give this product a rating of 5 stars!!

Our organization is a heavy MS Surface Laptop user. We have turned to this charger as our power replacement preferred product. We have had virtually no issues; the LED light confirming that the laptop is charging is a key feature we like and want for end users.

I bought this because my original one broke this one seems a lot more rugged which is great!! Charges just as fast as my original :)

I was surprised to see that I could have the cord running only to the computer or a cord to the computer and the wall.
