MULTI-FUNCTUNAL JAPANESE TOO- The Hori Hori knife is the Master Gardener's tool of choice. An updated version of a 16th century Japanese tool, this one tool can accomplish a wide variety of gardening tasks, like digging, weeding, cutting, pruning, measuring, planting bulbs, harvesting, and grafting. It's also handy for camping and backpacking. QUALITY CRAFTMANSHIPA- High quality 7" blade is made with 420 stainless steel and comes very sharp - sharper than most Hori Hori knives. It is built to be extra-strong, with the knife extending all the way through the knife handle ("full tang") so the knife blade cannot snap off. The handle is secured with 3 rivets for extra strength. The blade is curved for easy digging, and it even includes measurements to help you plant your seedlings and bulbs at the correct depth. BONUS GIFTS- We even include a bonus garden bag to help you pick up weeds as you pull them out and a E-Guide PDF that will help you get the most out of this tool. The Mountain Crest Hori Hori knife makes a great gift. It's something any gardener could use every time they are out. This is also a great gift for campers, backpackers, and people who enjoy metal detecting, treasure hunting or any outdoor activity.

Robust and Versatile
Robust tool that made quick work of clearing stubborn roots from delicate areas where using a shovel and an axe couldn't go. I'm looking forward to seeing how much effort it can save me in the future. The blade is incredibly sturdy. The saw blade isn't a replacement for an actual saw, but is great for quick actions that I encounter in most gardening. It also worked wonders in loosening root balls from pesky vines. The blade isn't too sharp, which is exactly what you want on a tool that will mostly be used as a trowel. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase.

How did I garden all these years without one of these?!
I've been gardening for decades and only in the last few months have I discovered Hori Hori knives. Now I can't garden with it. I use it for removing tough weeds, sawing off suckers, digging holes for small plants. I got the first one a few months ago, and my husband kept running off with it, so I got him one. I managed to lose one, so I ordered this one, which is from a different source. I'm very pleased with its quality. The handle has a better finish that the other wooden handled one I had--seems very durable.

Great For Foraging
This is a very good tool. Unfortunately I paid full price unlike a bunch of other reviews who got it free. Its well worth it but hey who wouldn't like a free one? Its ready a 5 star tool but I gave it 4 as I though it could possibly take the place of my large knife and folding saw while backpacking. However due to the concave nature of the blade it really can't go into a very thick log. I'll continue using it for foraging and around the yard. Highly recommended.

Fantastic tool!
How did I ever garden without this tool? I use it for almost everything I do in the yard. This has cut down on the amount of time it takes me to weed a bed, plant a plant, and prune a shrub. Fantastic!

Like gardening? Get this.
Got it as a gift for my sister. She names it The Law. Says it brought peace and order to the more willing subjects of her garden, and thoroughly vanquished any who resisted. Looks cool too.

The knife arrived on time and is very sturdy.I will use it while metal detecting and I look forward to trying it out.The serrated edge is expertly sharpened. However, I was disappointed that the straight edge was not sharpened.

If Crocodile Dundee was a gardener, this would be his tool of choice
This garden knife is the coolest tool I've ever owned! Perfect for pulling out weeds, transplanting, cutting branches, gutting a bear or whatever else you might want to do. It's well balanced, very sharp, and comes with a protective case that is also high quality. I'd definitely recommend this one!

Worth it.
I have another hori that's just as good, but this one was five bucks cheaper. The bag is nice, and the sheath is sturdy without being bulky.
