Alfred's Basic Guitar Rock Songs Method 1

Good fun book for absolute beginners. The early song extracts and accompanying audio files are not quite authentic versions of popular titles but you have to expect simplified versions, sometimes transposed to a simpler key, in a book for beginners.The music is clear to read, illustrations are clear and useful and the audio software and files are easy enough to use.As a violinist I have to say I'm very pleased it teaches through actual sheet music notation and not just those awful tabs that teach you nothing but where to place your fingers.Recommended for absolute beginners.

I returned the book. It would be very helpful if the notes would be written as letters, not only as lines of the staff. I just want to learn guitar.
