A really good set here. The case doesn't hold every part securely, but that is one a minor issue.

This tap & die set has a bunch of manufacturing defects. The taps i used already worked fine but some of the dies are CRAP. i tried using a few of the dies and they didn't work at all. So i thought maby my bolts were crap so i went and got a couple different sized new bolts with perfect threads to check the dies. Every one of the new bolts didn't screw into any of the "correct" dies. I used the thread pitch gauge to check the dies that i was using and the threads weren't cut right so the few dies i checked were garbage. Plus in the picture it looks like half of the set is attached to the lid and half attached to the bottom but its not. They are just stacked on top of eachother and its difficult to remove or put back that plastic tray's in the case. This kit was horribly made, i would have gotten a different set if i knew this had so many manufacturing defects.

The MUZERDO STEEL TAP AND DIE RETHREADING KIT (Manufacturer, LS, Part Number LS-003) is in my opinion an extensive and complete kit for SAE and METRIC applications. There are twenty seven (27) SAE tap/Die sizes plus twenty one (21) METRIC Tap/ Die sizes. In my estimation that is extensive and complete.But the manufacturer doesn’t stop with just the Tap and Die they also provide in this kit the the accessories for use. These include Adjustable Tap Wrench (2), T- handle Tap Wrench (1), Die Handle (2), Drill Bits (5), Damaged Screw Extractors (5), Screwdriver (1), Screw Pitch Gauge- Metric/SAE (2) and the Metal Storage Case.The storage case has molded inserts for each component. The space fits each component to its size and is clearly marked with its identifier number. The numbers are on both the component and the molded insert. Very convenient to use. Some items had come out of their respective places during shipment and I was able to put all back in by fitting size. There is NO User instruction sheet or written material of any type included with the kit.The components we checked and used have good fit and finish. The threads are sharp. There are no burrs, rough edges, cross threads, bends or misalignment in any of the parts or accessory tools. I like the kit, how complete the components are for use in both SAE and METRIC applications and use to date.Recommended Five ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ StarThank you for looking at my review. In 30 years, I've paid less and less for more and more taps and dies. I mostly lose them, or someone borrowed them away. This set is huge and as complete as I'll ever need. The taps&dies are tungsten tool steel and a phenomenal value at this price. If you're not threading hammerheads, these are a fine choice.I can't recall ever stripping a tap or die. I'd check my sizes three or four times before threading an aluminum engine block. I wouldn't hesitate to use these in aluminum. The tools have never been a problem. Bad sizing decisions and taking shortcuts is on me.The case is awful, as expected. Several brand names are kitting these same taps&dies under a brand moniker re-kitted in a form-fitting blow mold at 3x this price. I'm fine with my experienced cigar box method of seeing, matching, and sorting to fit.The tool handles are awful, too, as expected. They are adequate for occasional proposes. Pay about this same price for better handles and chucks if you think you need to.Much more than expected.

Many times I need to tap a drilled hole with threads or cut threads on a rod. Sometimes I just need to clean up threads on a bolt or threaded hole due to damage. This excellent full sized set of Taps and Dies will perform those tasks and more. This 115 piece set comes well cased in a latching steel box with thin plastic inserts to hold and secure the contents. The plastic could be a little thicker but everything is well marked and all taps and dies have sizes marked. Pictures 1 thru 5 show the contents. I was surprised to see 2 SAE & Metric Thread Pitch Gauges (Picture 4 -opened) AND a set of 5 screw extractors. Excellent! The tool quality is very good. I used a die to cut threads in a chromed steel rod using my own EVO DYNE Cutting Fluid ( an excellent USA Made product). Pictures 6&7 show the excellent results with no damage to the die teeth. The last Picture from the box shows all the contents.This is a GREAT VALUE! good selection of taps and dies sae and metric

Title is my only complaint, tray is a joke.Box/Caising: 5*Tap/Die set: 5*Tools(To hold tap/die): 4* (kinda feel cheap) but work fine.Tray(s): 2* See picture, this is how it arrived. Can't risk holding the case by the handle for obvious reason. Hold case like a cake to avoid parts from taking vacation.If you have 3D printer, highly recommend designing yourself a tray that can actually hold the tools and bits.

havn't used the tools yet but the plastic insert it came with in the case is trash and not even suitable for transportation of the tools inside the case never mind any sort of functionality in using them regularly.
