Overpriced Piece of Plastic that Should Have Come with the Stand
I bought this for the ParkTool TS 2.2 truing stand. I have had many problems with that stand, which I attribute to the quality control at ParkTool.I have also had problems with this base for the truing stand. In particular, the end caps which are supposed to fit into the stand do not fit in the model that I bought. I did follow the instructions that came with the base, and they do not fit.Apart from that, I believe that this base for the truing stand should have come with the truing stand, which is already overpriced. This is basically a piece of plastic that is overpriced, and I deeply regret buying it and the truing stand that I got it for.

Perfekt für den TS-2.3
Gekauft habe ich den Fuß für meinen TS-2.3 Zentrierständer. Er funktioniert wunderbar und ist ordentlich verarbeitet. Mit dabei ist auch eine Anleitung für den Zusammenbau als auch eine Teileübersicht mit Teilenummern. Sollte also etwas kaputtgehen, könnte man von Park Tool sicherlich Ersatzteile beziehen. Ich bin jedenfalls zufrieden und würde ihn jederzeit wieder kaufen.

I am pleased with the stand as it means I can now true wheels where I like. It is a shame that you spend a lot of money on a jig then have to spend more if you want the stand.

If you don't have workbench to attach the TS-2.2P to, you need this
I needed to get a truing stand, and I'd chosen the TS-2.2P. I don't have anything approximating a workbench. Is a base *really* necessary in this situation? It is. Is this base up to the task? It is. If you aren't permanently attaching your truing stand to something, you need this base.Features of the base include:* Five spoke-wrench holders on left, if you have wrenches other than the ones on a multitool* ~3.25" diameter circular well on left* ~3.25" diameter slightly larger than half-circular well on right* Large empty well filling out the rest of the right* Bolt holes so the stand can be bolted to something* Hand knob to allow the stand to tilt front to back on the baseThe spoke-wrench holders are definitely convenient if you've decided to step up from multitool-homed wrenches like I did. The remaining wells I've found helpful for storing little things like valve caps and nuts. The ability to tilt seems, at this point, mostly gimmicky, but it might be helpful at some point.Could you make your own base out of wood or something? Sure, probably, but you'll have to lightly design it, spend time getting the parts, then assemble it. (Although, in fairness, this base did require a small amount of assembly.) You can either pay in money for this, or in time for that. I would recommend paying money for this, but take your pick.
