MORE DRAMA IN THE BLACK HOUSE.....!!!
In this third in the series involving pastor Curtis Black, there is drama of course, but not of his doing. Seems as if wife and first lady Charlotte has learned a few tricks of her own from her husband. Charlotte is involved in a red-hot affair with Aaron Malone--illustrious church member and most notably, her husband's best friend. Poor Curtis Black hasn't a clue...he just knows that his wife is less attentive and seems to be "tired" all of the time. Charlotte's unhappiness stems from the Reverend Black's paltry six-figure salary--why can't he earn more to keep her in the lifestyle to which she had become accustomed? So she seeks solace in the arms of Aaron Malone--that is, until the book publishers come calling. When a publishing house offers the good Reverend big bucks for the book that he has written, Charlotte does an aboutface--turning into the idea wife, and ending things with Aaron--or trying to. That's when Charlotte finds out what a true nutcase she has become involved with; and Aaron lets ALL of the cats out of the bag...not only to the good Reverend, but to all of the members of Deliverance Outreach. All Charlotte can do is pray.....!!!Good follow up to the second novel...and judging by the ending, the saga doesn't end here. Stay tuned.......!DYB

What a great read!
There were so many twists and turns in this book, I couldn’t have known what was coming. I can’t wait to see how the next installment turns out and how the Black family arrives at their final destination. So yes, I made the mistake of reading the last installment so I already know how they end up but I must say, it’s been fun going back and seeing how they got there!

Well Worth The Time (and money)
I have not written a review for quite awhile but found it necesary to share my opinion about this book. Kimberla Lawson Roby is really talented. I've read her previous books featuring the life of Pastor Curtis Black and this one was no disappointment. The story is chock full of surprising twists which would be outrageous in real life but for Curtis Black anything is possible. I like the fact that Kimberla is not repetitious in her describing emotions and events. I just finished a book prior to starting this one where the story was good but the constant repeating of descriptions and other word usage was quite boring. I am eagerly looking forward to reading more of Kimberla's work. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, SISTER!

Tables Finally Turn!
The Best Kept Secret is exactly that! Even when you think the story cannot take another turn it does. During this third edition of the Curtis Black saga, he is a changed man. No tricks, no womanizing, manipulations, or get rich quick schemes, only straight talk for Curtis Black. Only this time Curtis has met his match with Charlotte, his third wife.Charlotte has many tricks up her sleeve which includes the same methods she used to trap Curtis. She is money hungry and will do anything to get her hands on the finer things in life. Charlotte does not care who she has to step over to improve her life. She is everything Curis is then some. Everything in Curtis is trying to remain faithful but with Charlottes new tricks, its proving to be more than he bargained for. There were parts of the story that felt all too familiar especially since I read the previous books. I did not like the fact that the climax of the story was almost the same with a few exceptions. There are many more surprises than the other books and any other man would have been done with Charlotte a long time ago. She is a true test of faith.

Great Book
I am running out of words to praise the books by Kimberla Lawson Roby. I am still rather new to her books and within a short time frame, I have read ALL of her titles and loved them all. I recommend to start with the 1st book of the Reverend Curtis Black saga to get the full picture and be able to understand the development of all the characters involved.
