Wow!
I had the extended box set on DVD and watch these movies a LOT, so I was hesitant to rebuy movies I already own. Besides, how much better could it look in 4k? The answer is A TON! JUST WOW! I put Fellowship in just to see how it looks and ended up watching over an hour of it without realizing. Every scene is jaw-droppingly gorgeous! And the sound!!! I've been missing half this movie the whole time with what I couldn't hear before. The levels are really well mixed. During the fireworks scene in the Shire, I literally yelled "WOAH!" with all the other halfling children. This box set renewed my love for these movies.
