Wow, which failure makes it a lemon?
*UpDate to the UPDATE???*Multiple igniter failures, convection fan failure, oven door hinge failure, oven thermostatic controller failure.... Do you really want to buy this??? The only thing I haven't replaced are the oven light bulbs, so kudos to the company that made those.*UPDATE*So, now I am wondering if Amazon can generate something less than 1 star. After numerous (4? 5?) oven igniter failures, one finally failed and arc-welded the nearby burner (see pic), destroying the burner. I ordered a new burner (direct replacement model) from Thor Kitchen and they sent the one in the picture. All dimensions, holes, etc are exactly the same as original, EXCEPT the mounting plat for the igniter, which is clearly at least twice as tall as the original. Hmmm, do you think they are aware of a design flaw? One that can lead to multiple failures? Do you suppose the company has a responsibility to support this piece of garbage? Now I know why I have experienced the multitude of other failures listed below....I really wanted to like this stove/oven. It has great presence in the kitchen; it's super simple--no circuit boards, and has classic, industrial good looks. And that is where my experience goes bad.At 3 months of ownership, we had 3 of the knobs melt (they are all plastic with a metallic coating). The company did a fine job of replacing them, but why build this with plastic knobs in the first place? At 6 months, the broiler igniter failed, which, I assumed was just unlucky. Dig a little deeper in the reviews and you'll find this is a consistent problem. Now, just 11 months into my spectacular experience with what should be a fairly easy-to-live-with product, the oven door hinge has completely seized up, to the point that opening the door will result in destroying the appliance. Oh, and the brussel sprouts? They'll have to wait a few days to come out....Don't be fooled by the looks.

Looks classy, works trashy
This will look like a premium range if you do NOT use it. Otherwise, the range will deteriorate over time and you will regret the purchase.Over just three years:**The oven would not ignite, necessitating a service call**The indicator light stopped functioning**Gas would not flow to the oven, then mysteriously started working again**Foil on gas knobs flaked off**Oven door would not open, eventually was able to manhandle it open**Printed words on temperature indicator have rubbed off**Gas would not flow to the oven again, then mysteriously started working again...again**Oven door would not open, again, forced it open and now upper right corner does not close flush with oven**Oven would turn itself on periodically and shut off (presumably hitting a low temp threshold and turning off)The range is currently sitting unplugged with the gas turned off. We are deciding whether to get it repaired or just start over with a new brand. Since we are out of the warranty period, we have to pay out of pocket for this.In all fairness, the good**Burners burn true and hot**Looks pretty nice aside from the aforementioned issues**Customer service is helpful, when under warrantySave your money and buy a different range.

Extremely disappointed
After owning and using this range it has a lot of problems.Purchased in June 2018.Oven glass seal has turned to a white color and seems to be leaking between the glass. When using the simmer burner on high and using a large pan the igniter continues to click until burner heats up, usually several minutes. Now the big problems. Replaced the igniter in Jan of 2021, complete failure. As of now February 13, 2024 the igniter has failed again, further investigation shows how it burned a hole in the burner, (see picture) another serious failure.Located parts, burner $139, igniter can vary $96-$129.After talking with the parts representative, he mentioned that this is a very common problem with this range. He stated that the igniter never turns off after the burner lights eventually causing either the igniter, burner or both to fail as in my situation. This appears to be somewhat of a higher end range by its appearance but beware it has some poor engineering built into it with guaranteed failures and costly repair bills, especially if serviced by an appliance service co.Really do love the look, low profile, heavy grates and the front overhang that protects the nobs form the cooking surface. Will fix it again but will be looking for something reliable.Unless Thor has made some changes to correct the problems I would not but this range again.😐
