The mechanism did not work.

Lovely clock looks good only fault is difficult to hang had to buy wire plate hanger to be safer.

Very smart looking clock. Good solid Portmeirion plate with the cheerful poppy design. Perfect for my conservatory. Unfortunately it comes in a box which doesn't give adequate protection; both hands were compressed together meaning they stuck each time they tried to pass each other, stopping the clock. The hands are quite flimsy and the clock mechanism looks rather cheap. I solved the problem by simply bending the minute hand so they no longer stuck! The clock has been keeping good time for the last 2 days so hopefully all will be well.

The clock looks very nice but in my opinion the method of hanging it on the wall leaves a lot to be desired. It is basically a dinner plate adapted to a clock by the addition of a clock face and a clock movement bolted through the plate. The clock hangs on a wall by hooking it on a screw at the top of a small plastic box containing the movement. I wouldn't trust this arrangement and solved the problem by using a plate hanger and fixing a wire to that to hang it on a picture hook fitting.

The clock is as beautiful as it looks in the pictures.My one issue is that the hands were damaged and were bent out of shape so that they could not move freely. I was able to straighten them but it took several attempts to re-align them successfully. I believe my last attempt was successful as the clock has run successfully for twenty-four hours now.I thought about returning it but my need for a clock was urgent.
