Does NOT fit a 2x4!
Great brackets. Very sturdy. Wish I could use them. Don’t have tools to trim a 2x4 down to fit them.😞

Too Narrow
These iron brackets are strong. Problem is the size. Once installed the bracket is not wide enough for a 2" x 4" board to slide in place. It's too narrow. It needs to come out farther away from post It's screwed into. I shaved some off my 2x4 to make it fit, but that weakens the board. Defeats the purpose.

Good brackets junk screws
Good solid brackets. My only complaints are that once mounted a 2x4 wouldn’t fit. I had to run belt sander over the board multiple times to make it fit. Don’t own a planer. Also the screws are junk. Twisted heads off of 7 out of 8 in one box. Drywall screws work better.

Works, but need to trim down 2x4
Very sturdy and strong, but -1 star because it did not fit the standard 2x4I had to cut off 1/8th” in both directions to make the 2x4 fit

Not true to size
They are made really good but the sizing was off then stated. Had to shave our wood down so it would fit.

Doesn’t fit 2x4 wood
The metal is very strong. Screws where junk. Doesn’t fit a standard 2x4 at all.
