Filthy: The Five Points' Mob Collection, Book 1

Aoife was crafted to drive him crazy, what will happen when he discovers she is innocent?
Contains references and/or details of multiple subjects that may be a trigger or offensive to some including adult language, steamy adult intimate scenes with dominance, submission, restraints, deprivation, spanking consensual / non-consensual acts, etc. and violence such as attempted kidnapping, attempted murder, murder, betrayal, assault, torture, rape, drugs, human trafficking, money laundering, stalking, coercion, threats, blackmail and mental, physical and sexual abuse.WARNING: One of the potential triggers is mental, physical and sexual abuse of a child. Mental illness is also a theme. There are grammatical issues including typos, misspellings, incorrect word choice, missing and extra inserted words. I am trying to mention these for readers such as myself that visualize the story as it is read, because errors interrupt the flow. The story / plot and world building is very good. I always feel strange writing that for a darker themed story, but Serena Akeroyd doesn’t rush the action. She took the time to let us get to know the characters, some of the flaws, strengths, background, and how their world functions - good and bad - which made their story come to life through scenes and multiple POVs.Since I love a bad boy / girl that is willing to do anything to care for those he / she loves, I highly enjoyed it, and I have no issue ignoring any questions I may have from a couple of scenes. I am ever hopeful that since the series is ongoing and interwoven with another that all of those and others that I haven’t even thought of yet will be addressed later.Finn is a bad boy that is a computer nerd at heart ❤️, who has a genius for making and laundering money for his chosen father’s criminal organization (aka Five Points Irish mob). He was taken in by his best friend’s family and raised as one of their own. Finn joined the ranks and moved up quickly. Now he was tasked with acquiring property so they could build and develop an upscale community. There was just one problem … a stubborn little Irish lass with curves designed to drive him mad.Aoife owned and operated a tearoom that she started with her mother. Her heart wasn’t really in this business, but she wasn’t going to give it up, she couldn’t. It was hard enough to get up every morning to get things ready. She really missed her mom. It has been 7 long months, but it was her mom’s dream since she was a girl. Too bad Acuig kept trying and tempting her with increasing offers, the latest 10% over market value. Then after they closed, but before they locked the door, the most handsome man Aoife had ever seen entered. Too bad he would only be interested in her BFF that looked like a supermodel …After seeing her picture and having Aoife followed for a few months, Finn knew it was time to handle things himself and he had just the information. If she wouldn’t sell willingly, then he would force her to, or he would expose her lover … the thought of her with a lover other himself tasted like ashes to him … maybe he could change that as part of the deal …

Woman with curves gets the man
An author that knows how to write about a woman with curves that is dealt with society judgement and an inner voice of doubt that can find a man that loves everything about her that can show her her body is beautiful along with her. Add in mafia and family drama this is a show stopper.Serena Akeroyd knows everything we want in a book and then delivers that times ten.

Strong women I afraid of being a little submissive for her man? It’s Ike someone came through, checked my list of things I love in my romance, and then dropped them right here in this one.Another excellent pairing. These two really were right for each other, and I can’t wait to see where that bigger plot goes.

Amazing .. Great ... Eh
Bought the book July 2nd, finished July 4th. The chapters are very short. It's a POV per chapter, and it's not too detailed. It really had it's moments, but left much to be desired. Once I got to chapter 37, I struggled to reach the finish line. 44 chapters total, but again they are short, and I feel that they're rushed. I MIGHT purchase the 2nd book in the series, but I'm hoping that it builds up.+ for the pronunciation of the characters name at the beginning.

Really good story!
I have to say the title is what got me. I love a good mafia family and stories of each person in the saga. This was a good start and I really enjoyed Finn and A ( sorry too much to spell her name) :) there were many twists and turns in this story and I was a bit upset that 1/4 of story was after the wedding and FC was shot and recovering. But it all tied in and even had some surprises in the family history. Great sex scenes and loved their relationship and deep feelings for eAch other. I'm going to read in the authors suggested order even though I really want to get to the next Five Point brother!

What's Next!
I was left with wanting more of Finn and Aoife' s story! Her mother's death? Her father? Finn's new truth? Still so much more to know? I enjoyed it, so far...

Intense
This is a very intense book. I’m not quite happy with the “secret” he is forced to keep. I mean I get it but still it’s sad.

Hallelujah! A Romance About a Relationship, Instead of Angst!
SO REFRESHING that the heroine in this book isn’t an immature brat who refuses to allow herself to be happy on principle, only at 95% to finally admit she’s in love and the only glimpse of the actual relationship we get is in the epilogue. Here, Aoife is a realist and gets with the program from the get-go, understanding that what Finn is offering is a better life and we see the relationship itself as these two struggle to make a life together. There was no giant heartbreak or betrayal at 75%, where you want to smack someone for their stupidity and thank heaven for that. I loved everything about finally reading a romance book about romance rather than angst. And the 🔥 scenes were fantastic.

Gripping and Intense story
Wow, this book was amazing. Finn is one of the top men of the Irish Mafia in New York. Aoife has a busy life running a cafe and has no time for relationships. What starts out as Finn wanting to use Aoife for one night soon turns into an intense, gripping and truly exciting read. I loved the way their relationship moved so quickly, Finn is a man who always gets what he wants, and he has no doubt in his mind that he wants Aoife! The book also has an excellent storyline where both their pasts come together and puts a huge strain in their relationship. This was a fabulous read and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys Mafia stories. I also loved Finn’s brothers and can’t wait to read their stories. I also listened to the book(s) on Audible ( this book contains both stories Screw You and Screw Me) and the narrators did an amazing job. A brilliant start to the series and I’m looking forward to reading the next book.

Brilliant introduction to the O'donnelly clan
Loved this book, a brilliant introduction to the O'Donnelly clan. This book is about Finn, an adopted member of the Irish mafia clan which is led by Aidan O'Donnelly and his wife Lila. To say that Aidan appears to be batsh*t crazy would be an understatement, so when Finn begins a relationship with Aoifa things are tense. What I particularly liked about this book, is that when one of the characters is shot in the abdomen, recovery takes place over months. The descriptions of the wounded persons struggles with pain, movement and feelings of self worth are realistic. Unlike many books where recovery occurs with few effects over just days or a few weeks.I can't wait to read the books about Aidan's 5 sons, beginning with Eoghan in Filthy Rich.

A breath of fresh air to the NY Mafia
POV: Dual / First PersonGenre: Mafia / Age GapFinn O’Grady is not only a high ranking member of the Five Point Mob, aka the Irish Mob in New York, but he’s their money man which makes him integral to the organisation. He grew up with the O’Donnelly clan and is considered part of the family, he’s smart and handsome, a deadly combination to any woman, especially a woman like Aoife.Aoife runs a small tea shop that Finn needs to buy for a new development project, but she doesn’t want to sell, that is until Finn appears at her doorway. Aoife has been living her whole life in the streets of Hells Kitchen and she knows the drill... If someone refuses the Five Points then the outcome is never in their favour.Finn is instantly taken with Aoife. She is Irish and curvy, exactly his type. So he makes her an offer she can’t refuse and once he has her he knows he will never want anyone else.I loved Filthy!Firstly, it was a Mafia book, set in New York but it wasn’t Italian or Russian, I loved the breath of fresh air that Serena gave the New York Mafia.Secondly, Finn was just an incredible lead character, the love he held for Aoife was beautiful and, thirdly their chemistry together was explosive. This was a book that kept you on the edge of your seat, it was jam packed with action, romance and I was obsessed! The storyline itself was fantastic, it was just the most perfect start to the Five Point Mob world.

50 shades meets The Godfather
Finn is a nasty piece of work and Aoife is his victim. Don't read this expecting her to be anything else or you will be disappointed. Although I would have loved her to have had a backbone and stand up to him, I had some sympathy for her. She's scared of him, has been warned never to refuse a 5 points man and has very low self esteem. He blackmails her into having sex with him, so the first sex scene is little more than rape. She is a virgin and he is quite brutal. The author gets around this by making him good looking and muscly and she is flattered by a handsome man's attention. Does that make it ok? I don't think so but judging by the 5 star reviews some women do.The actual writing is very good so it gets a couple of stars for that, but the first half is just an account of Finn's subjugation of Aoife. Some of the sex scenes are difficult to stomach. I didn't feel any love between them just lust and he just sees her as his possession. It's not really a bad story but I just didn't like either of them, he's cruel and she is meek with a bit of smug. I prefer a heroine with some spirit. Read Filthy Rich instead it's so much better.

Finn & Aofie
Wow where to start with this book... The Five Pointers are a sexy Irish Mafia and Finn O'Grady is one of the high members of the Five Pointers.Finn has been trying to make a deal with Aofie who is the owner of a small cafe that the Five Pointers want to buy to demolish and build a fancy hotel in it's place. Finn decides to pay Aofie a visit and to Aofie's surprise it is the same Finn O'Grady she knew from when she was a little girl. The chemistry between Finn and Aofie is amazing and the sex scenes are even hotter between them 🔥.I don't want to give too much away so I would highly recommend reading the Filthy Feckers Series to find out what happens!!
