Q: This is advertised as emulsion, - that's what the title says on Amazon - but it's essence. Why is that? They're two different things!

Hi there! It's actually the consistency of water, like a regular toner. You are correct--they call it "super aqua (water) and an emulsion. To me, an emulsion would be ingredients heavier than water suspended in water. I have tried some other toner recently that were like a runny gel--did not like these at all. I personally don't notice any hyaluronic acid benefits, but it's a nice, basic, water-like toner.

Q: Can I apply moisturizer after this product or it won't penetrate in?

If this essence (like the picture shows ) then you would put your retinol drops and your eye cream on after that, then emulsion, and then the thicker night cream over top of all of it.
