Fletcher Picture Perfect No-Wire Hanging System, Hang Wall Art up to 50 Pounds

I helped a friend hang an Ethan Allen Mirror that came with an ingenious hanging system that made level hanging easy. There is no wire, two brackets mounted to the wall and two matching brackets that mount to the back of the mirror/picture frame. The trick is to get the brackets aligned and level. The Ethan Allen system made that part easy. So, when I had to hang another picture frame, I was looking for something similar. This Fletcher system did the trick. Although slightly different from the Ethan Allen, it worked perfectly and was just as easy to use. I'll get this again next time I need wireless hanging.

I saw these in a local store and so I checked with Amazon and found them listed. They prevent pictures from having to be constantly leveled and they work really well and are easy to install. Some thought has been put into this system in getting the picture frame absolutely level and it's such a simple method. I have put two pictures up using these supports and I don't plan to go back to the more traditional methods of wire and hangers. The pictures never need to be leveled again.I recommend drilling small pilot holes in the frame before screwing in the metal brackets. This way you do not risk splitting the frame. Also, when drilling, I put some masking tape on the drill bit to indicate how deep to go based on the screw length. No point having a hole show up through the front of an expensive frame. After installing the metal brackets there is very little left to do. The kit has a foolproof method for leveling the supports although I would recommend using your own small spirit level. The one supplied is not reliable (see picture below). The very small level that's stuck to an adhesive strip is the one supplied. It may suffice for small frames. I used the string level in the middle because it's accurate and light.I am sure you will love these picture hangers. They are a superior product to the usual hooks and wires and keep the frames absolutely level at all times.Update: These are now available in a bulk package of 25 from Amazon and they come with a larger spirit level that is easier to use. I have already installed 25 frames and I have ordered another bulk package of 25 . Ordering in bulk reduces the cost/frame significantly and I have no doubt they will not take long to be used up on existing lop-sided frames around the house that use a wire and a single hanger as well as new projects.

This system provides good instructions, a mini-level to ensure the picture is level and no need to measure.

I wanted to hang four paintings at the same height. These hangers made it relatively easy. I just had to find a way to establish the bottom of the painting and the rest was easy. Same base for each painting, same height for each painting. They look great. And I was able to move all four to another room by pulling the hangars and using them over again.

Products seems similar to Level Lock. I have two minor complaints. One, the package includes 8 screws, but there are two sets of 4, each of a unique size. The screws in one the the 4 packs is way too long for practical purposes, so now I will have to purchase additional shorter screws to use the other set in the 2 pack. Also, the directions could have been clearer.

These hangers are perfect for any size picture. For small pictures we generally use hangers or wire, but for large pictures, these hangers ensure the picture is secured to the wall and always remain level. We ended up buying several sets and rehung all of our large pictures (and a few smaller pictures). The kit also comes with a bumper which keeps the picture flat to the wall. To hang the picture, measure down about a third way down the picture (especially for large pictures) on each side of the frame. I used a T level to ensure I made a straight line on the frame and the lines on each side of the frame are level with each other. Next position a keyhole bracket aligned with the line on the frame. Drill a pilot hole for the upper bracket hole ( I used a 3/32 drill bit). Screw the bracket in and ensure that it's vertical to the frame. Drill the bottom pilot hole and screw in the bottom screw. Repeat for the opposite frame side. Watch your alignments carefully. Mount the rubber bumper centered on the bottom frame. Insert a hanger in one side and rotate to lock on place. Grab the picture from the front with a finger touching each bracket. Position the picture in place on the wall and press the hanger into the wall with the palm of your hand. The hanger will leave an indent in the drywall. Remove the hanger and nail it into the drywall. Note that the hanger is nailed in by nailing down (not sideways as it looks when locked into the bracket). To mount a large picture I preferred using a 4 foot level, otherwise mount the small level on the frame. Place the second hanger into bracket, turn to lock into position. Position your hands level with the hangers again (this is helpful to more easily find the hanger with your finger and hang the picture). Hang the picture on the first bracket and level the picture. Make sure that the hanger is slotted all the way into the keyhole. Level the picture and push the second hanger into the wall to make the indent. Slide picture up to remove from the first hanger from the keyhole bracket, and remove the picture. Remove the bracket from the hanger by turning sideways and nail the second bracket into wall. Mount the picture ensuring that the hanger is slotted all the way into the keyhole. The picture should now be perfectly level and secured. Happy hanging
