These inserts work great. I bought them for a couple large pots that I didn't want to fill all the way with potting soil. They also make the pots light weight so I can move them around easier. I bought some of these years ago and they have lasted a long time. I wish more retailers would carry them, however. I had trouble finding them so I had to order online. I have in the past filled the bottom of my pots with broken clay pots, packing peanuts, upside down plastic pots, etc. I prefer these over the other methods.

With holes for wicking rope or string, this is a great barrier to position in bottom third of a round planter. Just make sure you put a hole in the side of the planter so water does not accumulate in the soil portion.

Kind of a genius product that I'm surprised no one else makes. The good news, this one is good. The bad, there's only two sizes. It definitely made my big planters much lighter BUT even tho it should also drain better with lots of room in the bottom to catch extra, it seems to not drain well or fast enough as my plants are soaked in the two pots I have them despite not watering for a while.

These pot inserts save putting so much potting soil in my pots. It also helps with the weight of the pots , making moving easier. I like the "hole" for easy water drainage.

Easy to use and versatile.

I have a lot of very large pots and was hoping this item would reduce the need for extra soil and allow the roots to breathe.However, most of my large pots are of the Talavera and Japanese fish bowl variety, so the 10" Plant Lifter sits at the bottom of everything pot, when I had in mind what the ad for this product advertises.This "plant lifter" requires a vase shaped pot that is wide at the top and significantly narrower at the bottom of you intend it to work as advertised.For this to work as advertised, measure the diameter of the exact place in the pot where you want this "plant lifter" and order that size.

I LOVE the Up's a Daisy planter inserts. They make it easy for me to turn an indoor planter with no drainage into a 'self watering' planter with a water reservoir. I've used them in patio planters as well with excellent results. I'm in Southern California, so conserving water is always a plus.

This is an amazing invention! I have a tall pot that I wanted to pot some snake plants in, but I knew more than half the soil would be wasted, so this fixed all my problems. It helps cut down on the amount of unused soil sitting in the bottom, so the soil dries out faster, keeping the plant healthy. It also has a few holes in the bottom for drainage. All in all- great product! I will definitely be buying more! 100% reccomend!
