Best splint I've used so far.
Extremely fast shipping! Very friendly service!I have severe hemipersis/spasticity in my left side for the last 3 years after surviving brain cancer, specifically in my left arm and hand. I've tried numerous splints and braces to keep my wrist from curling and my fingers from balling up. This is the first one I've used the actually worked for me. On good days when the spasticity is low its very comfortable and I hardly know I'm wearing it, however on bad days it can be a little uncomfortable.Pros:- Its easy for me to secure the brace with only one hand.- The forearm brace is soft and the strap design is the best I have seen and used.- The finger straps space my fingers very comfortably around the ball.- The ball has just the right amount of give/resistance for my bad days.Cons:- The finger straps are Velcro with sharp edges, and when my hand fights it, the edges really dig in to my fingers.- The wrist splint (the piece that prevents your wrist from curling) does not go down the forearm far enough and when my wrist fights it, the end of the splint digs into my forearm.- My wrist is still able to curl a little on bad days but nothing serious.Advice for the manufacturer: use softer finger straps to lessen the sharp edges of the Velcro straps, maybe some kind of flexible material you slide your finger through and extend the forearm brace about 3 or 4 inches and maybe curl the end of the plastic splint slightly so it doesn't dig into the forearm. Add a strap at the wrist to help prevent the wrist from curling. That being said, great brace! I will be using this for the foreseeable future.

The most at peace I have been in ten years
I had my massive hemorrhagic stroke back in October of 2008. I was told all about two months later in December when I came out of the coma. After months of physical therapy I was out of the wheelchair using a cane. My left hand never quite recovered. I will always blame myself but that's neither here nor there concerning my recent joyful attitude. For the first time in all these years the fingernails on my left hand are not digging into my palm. X amount of my thoughts are not always on trying to relax my hand and keep my fingernails from digging into my palm. Years ago I had tried a not so similar product that just held the fingers in place not allowing them to squeeze or flex. After a couple of days of excruciating pain I sent it back.I am also not clawing at my side or belly or trying to lift my shirt up while hand washing my dishes with my right hand, which is also nice. It is comfortable to wear. With only my dominant right hand I can apply this device and breathe a little easier, relax a little more. I love this product!

very comfortable
I like this device. It is very comfortable and it is easy to put on. It is also a very good value. The only negative for me is that the velcro that holds the fingers in place could be just a tad longer. At 6'4" I am definitely a large person and so if your hands are very large it could be an issue.Overall, I really like the product a lot and recommend it.

Helps with correct hand posture
Bought this for my sister who has MS and her hand curls into a fist. As anyone who deals with the disabled knows when the hand is kept in that position it can cause several problems. It fits really well. Its lightweight. Easy to put on. The only problem is the velcro on the fingers is very rough and rigid. The fingers are not easy to put into the separators but it could be her hand.As for size the brace fits nicely but she has very thin wrists and a small hand. Always has had tiny wrists, can't wear watches or bracelets and is a ring size 4 1/2. So if that helps about sizing not sure it would be that good for a large hand.

This is a Good Idea
My companion had a stroke April 18th...and I ordered this to help his left hand which was affected by the stroke....it works wonderfully and he can relax his hand in between squeezes which really helps him alot. This product is a very very good idea and if he needs anything else I will check your products first

Light weight and wear very comfortable.
Love this hand ball splint!!In fact, this is the best hand splint that we have tried yet - and we have tried many much more expensive splints for extreme tone and contractures of the fingers. The design allows fiting for both left and right hand

Causes severe pain.
I hate it, but I know it is working because it causes severe pain every morning. I must wait for my hand to come back together every day, but I know that when it does, it will work better. I knew I needed a soft-ball in my palm as I made a fist in my sleep, but the finger traps were not something I felt I needed. Apparently I was wrong. I really cannot wait to not wake up in pain.

not impressed.
the velcro on this thing is so sharp/hard it will scratch the skin & draw blood. the velcro is supposed to hold the fingers in place but the spacing of the stuff is completely wrong. my PT had a hard time with it and said she uses this type thing frequently and this one is just poorly made.
