I work at a correctional facility and needed a comfortable pair of boots that could be worn for 8-16 hours. It was a toss up between the Rocky C4T Boots and the Nike Special Field Boots. The C4T boot has a large bottom sole surface area with a superior slip-resistant soles. When comparing the Nike SFB sole I noticed that the sole was made for more of an outdoor type terrain. Not necessary for the multi-level concrete floor facility I work in. The fit of the boots and width was spot on. As usual with Rocky products, little to no break-in period required even with my previous pair of Rocky 10" Paratrooper boots which I took out of the box and wore straight to work the same day. The C4T insole is extremely supportive and comfortable. It feels like a squishy shock absorber with every step.Pros:-Comfortable-Feels and performs like an athletic shoe-Price-Keeps feet drier with vents on both sides of the boot (For those who douse their non-breathing boots in talc powder, little to no powder required)-Quieter footsteps (For those who work nights at correctional facilities)-Arch support (See Cons section)-1 day break-in period (See Cons section)Cons:-As stated above 1 day break-in period. Specifically the heel cups which rubs against the mid to lower portion of your Achilles Tendon-As stated above Arch support. Will be your best friend until you are forced to stand in place for outdoor recreation for 7+ hours. Then you will feel that arch support overdoing its job and begin to uncomfortably push up on your arch.-Water resistant, not water proof. According to the specs on ROCKYBOOTS.com. Due to having vents on both side of the boots, the boots will take on water if you step in a puddle or if inmates decide to flood their housing units (Hopefully you won't experience the latter)This review is based on my experiences with the Rocky C4T boots at a correctional facility. I realize that not everyone will be using these boots for the same type of work and everyone has different podiatry anatomy. For reference I am 6'3" 240lbs, I use a boot of medium width and I have high arches.

Super lightweight!
Rocky has been my go to boots for years in my career field in Corrections. These are the best boots for the summer months because they are very comfortable and breathable for your feet. I would have given 5 stars if they had made the tongue completely from neoprene, but they didn't and it is only a thin layer of canvas. Not too bad if you don't tie the laces too tightly. I wasn't impressed with the looks of them when I opened the box, but when I wore them, the comfort more than made up for that! And though they are breathable with the side vents, I have worn them in the rain and my feet were still dry. Didn't stay in the rain for very long, though. I've worn these for two summers now and they are my favorite pair of boots for work. However, in the fall and winter I wear my Rocky Alpha Force boots.Edit:This is my third season now wearing these. They're still my favorite boots, they're still holding up. Still look new. Tread has begun to wear, but I work 12 to 16 hour shifts. Will be ordering another pair soon.

Great boot
Iβve purchased this boot now 3 times and generally I get 2 plus years out of them wearing them 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. Light, comfortable as a tennis shoe and easy on/off. Not for cold/freezing weather whatsoever

Great with insoles
I am a street cop and wear these for work. They held up good for about four months then needed to get insoles. The boots shine up nice and breath well. If the insoles in the boot were better I would give it five stars but how uncomfortable they become after a short time I am only giving it three stars.

Alright
Product looks cheap, but is also light weight so that might be why it looks cheap. Might last a few months if moderate work is done in them. Seller took long to ship and also not really understanding.

Light and breathable
Great boot for Garrison and trainning. Not designed for the field but already know if you check review and Rocky description of boot. It's my second pair the first pair been good for 5 years doing garrison job and keep my good Lowa boots longer for the field and mission.

Felt great...performed terribly.
Wow. I never review stuff. But this time, I'll make an exception so nobody else ends up in this situation. I loved these boots as soon as I tried them on. The fit was perfect (I have wide feet and the wide size was excellent). I am training for a military competition, so I am running/rucking a lot right now. I ran in them only twice. On the positive side, they felt great - very light. No foot or shin issues. No hotspots or blisters right out of the box. On the negative side though: they ripped on the VERY FIRST 11 km ruck march that I did. They ripped at the seam where the laces join the lightweight fabric. Now I have to start over to find and break in a new pair of boots. I expected way better performance from Rockys - but in fairness, these are their cheapest boots. Even though Rockys have a great name, and a lot of troops wear them, I'm going over to Danners.

A little tight on top.
Opening at the top is a bit tight, difficult to get my foot in. Have to really loosen the laces. Once in it seems to be OK
