3.0 Mil bags shouldn't split Must be a defective case
Not really sure if the box was mislabeled or defective. These bags that I have received are no thicker than a kitchen bag. I'm not complaining about them as bags being a plain old bag for general garbage but what I'm uncertain about is most of the reviews are 5 Stars and state they are just as good as a H/Depot brand 3mil bag. Well I have been using my case of these bags and I have about 10 or so left so I ordered a case of Home Depot / Husky "Contractor" Bags and compared them. For the record I use a lot of trash bags on site work for removing debris of all types as a professional contractor I am persistent on removing any or all debris & trash from our job sites and disposing of it properly. Nothing bothers me more than when you goto pickup the bag and the bottom splits at it's seams. Items like scraps of wood wirh protruding nails will cause that in any bag but a single scoop of drywall scraps from the dustpan breaks the bottom seam. I had this happen over and over again. Tonite I tried a test. Husky 3ML and this brand. I took a 10" piece of scrap Cedar Decking (Smooth and light) held bag open which was maybe 3-4 inches from touching floor and dropped the deck board in from about 12" above the open bag. Nothing happens to the husky / HD brand. This brand 3 bags split it open. Like I said I believe it's a defective box or mislabeled since 99% of reviews rave about how great these bags are. After using them once maybe twice on sites or work related jobs I retired the case to trash night of household items. I can't give it 5-Stars for durability but I could give it 5 for price and shipping speed so I give it 2 for now. Don't base your purchase decision around my review as so many have stated there great. I just got the short end of the stick on my order.
