Great for strong or large dogs. Walked 2 pit/Bassett hound mixes (don't ask, we don't know how it happened either) and it was great since they are both strong but want to stay near each other (siblings). However walking the two doxies in the fam was a total failure they didn't want to be near each other (within 3 ft) or go at the same pace and the connectors was a bit heavy for one of them since she kept stopping and it would slide down or droop creating another obstacle (mainly for me since she didn't give a f*#%).Would still highly recommend but keep the personalities and size/strength of your pups in mind. If I was buying for the doxies I might get longer tethers and the softer lighter nylon type.Also works great with both harnesses and collars. Has a great lock and didn't seem to get tangled or snag when retracting. Came with its own poop bag dispenser and has a spot where it clips on with a provided carabiner (can be loud when it bangs on the handle but it works).

So, we bought this because our dogs kept chewing through the other retractable leashes which led to a couple of alarming close calls. This leash is very solid and comes with two solid metal extensions covered by a thick plastic. It allows us to walk both of our dogs on the same leash --which is awesome!! My only question is why are the extensions different sizes--one is long and the other short (??). However, since I accidentally bought two, I was able to swap out to keep both leashes the same size. One of the best things I ever bought.

Haven’t had any troubles with it and have used it MULTIPLE times. My dog LOVES to go on walks and going outside in general. It feels very sturdy. The locking mechanism works well. I wish the little holes for the clip to hold poop bags was bigger but I am fine without. My poop bag has Velcro and I just Velcro it to the bottom of the handle. It’s quiet and smooth.

I have no problems with this leash. However, the 'chew-proof' part that is added onto the end of the leash makes the leash quite heavy. My husband just didn't like that so we removed that 2-foot piece and bought a double ended hook that would attach to the leash and our dog's collar. This works better for us.

Seems like a nice product, but my 15 lb Belgian Malinois puppy chewed through the nylon in several places the FIRST TIME OUT. They HAVE to find a way to toughen the leash line.Otherwise, it was nice to give her a little bit more room to roam. Ultimately however, I can't recommend this product if your dog is a chewer or a puppy going through the teething phase.

This is a sturdy nice looking leash. I wanted it for the chew proof part but that segment was a bit too heavy and drags if you don't have steady tension on. That may not be a problem for some but I often like to lock the leash with some slack when walking so there is not constant tension on their neck.

Everything works as mentioned and listed, but my only concern is that the retractable function of the leash is not strong and due to the weight of the cables there are times that I have to secure the line and lift the leash to avoid the dogs from getting tangled on the leash.

I purchased this retractable lead because of its chew-resistant wire cable option. My lab-mix puppy quickly ruined the first retractable leash we purchased, so it was obvious the wire cable was a needed feature in the next leash. We've since added a second lab-mix puppy so having two leads on one leash has worked out nicely. The unit feels strong, the lock holds well, and the lead retracts without tangling. I'm happy with this purchase.
