Inexpensive fix, but make sure you are comfortable taking laptop apart
The power connector in my Dell laptop would have cost $150 to repair. Found this module, seller verified it would fit. I'm pretty tech savvy and was able to take laptop apart after watching a few YouTube videos.

Best to buy the two pack due to the cheap design they likely will fail.
Not a project for beginners, there are great how to videos on web. But found several of the metal thread inserts on the cheap plastic had broken on the laptop as well due to Dell cheap quality and poor design. But replaced and used JB Weld to repair thread mounts and laptop charges like new again.
