Ricochet (Out for Justice Book 1)

Excellent story with room for improvement
I enjoyed this introductory installment of the Out for Justice series. Noah and Mac are both phenomenal characters and seeing them get their HEA after so many years is sweet. I definitely had some “aww” moments. It was a nice intro to the members of Team Phoenix as well.My biggest issue is the excessive use of the phrase “the man”. This makes scenes far more impersonal than they should be and pulls me straight out of any intimate moments. The book would benefit from the author going through and cleaning up all the places where “the man” should be otherwise described. That would take this to a 5 star book for me.

Awesome Introduction as an Author
It was hard to believe this was a debut novel. It was a complete well thought out story with lots of action and hotness. Great read

OMG I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!
I enjoy a good story with MC's that you can fall in love with and I absolutely loved Noah and Mac. Although a lot of his life was tragic I LOVE that Noah didn't let those bastards win!!! He handled his business with EXTREME PREJUDICE. And I loved Mac for him! Tough and sweet is an irresistible combo...I can't wait to see what happens with their crews!!!!

what’s with Leslie?
Why are all the moms or aunts named Leslie in R. Knightleys books? It is confusing. But the book is good

Good start to a promising series
This is an enjoyable book. The beginning is staccato and a bit confusing. The timeline covered is several years and there are a lot of jumps. If you read through without any expectations, all of the opening will be expanded on and explained later.Noah's mother is killed and he's taken into a compound run by his stepfather and a drug lord. There's also sex trafficking going on. He's in the compound for six years and there are highlights (or lowlights) of the horror.Mac is a US Marshall who comes into the compound to take down the evildoers and rescue the victims. He and his team rescue almost all of the victims but the head guys get away. Noah's just a few months shy of 18.Mac keeps Noah with him for about 2 years and then turns him over to another US Marshall. Another 5 or years passes, Unbeknownst to Mac, Noah has become an elite member of a super secret off-the-grid spy squad. Noah's bitter because he loved Mac and Mac rebuffed him. Mac's good reasons, Noah was a protectee and Noah was too young, seem like excuses to Noah. They re-engage when the bad guys return to the playing field, having gotten a leak within the US Marshall's office. The US Marshall who took over Noah's care ends up dead.Once the book turns to the present time, the pacing is good and there are a number of twists. It doesn't head in one direction with a surprise at the end. The plot keeps moving and the reader has to keep up. Don't read when you're sleepy! There are several extraneous characters. They're probably introduced so they can come up later in the series but I found them distracting and unnecessary.

New author, new series.
Seventeen year old Noah has lived in hell since his stepfather killed his mother. Trapped in a compound, forced to run drugs, brutalized on a daily basis by the man in charge of the organization. He's tried to escape only to be caught and punished. His rescue by US Marshal Mackenzie changes his life. In protective custody until he can testify, Mac becomes his sole focus in life. Both of them getting closer despite the age difference.Mac wants to protect his young man. To that end he hands him off to someone else. The feelings he has aren't appropriate and though he wouldn't act on them, he knows Noah would be better off without Mac in his life.Several years down the road, neither man has forgotten the other. Noah has become an accomplished agent. Learning every skill he can to one end, finding the men that hurt him. Mac focused on the same goal. Not knowing that Noah is probably a better agent than he is.Noah has always known that Mac would be his. When Mac is injured, Noah finally gets what he's wanted for so long. Mac in his bed and the bad guys in their sights. While Noah and Mac are good together I would of liked to have had a little more of their interactions in the beginning of the relationship. I hope to see them fleshed out in future books. There were a lot of characters introduced which was confusing at times but overall it was a nice book. Looking forward to Jake’s story.

Great start
Great start to a new thriller series! My kind of thriller action never stops and you can't help but keep on guessing what gonna happen next. Glad these 2 were able to grow up and move past their issues and find true happiness even if the mystery continues

Noah & MAC
This is one of those books you can’t put down. Noah is in WITSEC for protection after witnessing the murder of his mother and is longing for revenge. Mac was the US Marshall tasked with protecting him and fighting the attraction he feels for a very young Noah, but after a six yr break they meet again and the passion is out of control

Highly recommend debut novel
What a brilliant read i really loved this book full of twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat the only negative i would say is the time line jumps were a bit confusing and I would of loved to have more of Noah 's story from when he left Mac but apart from it was an amazing read highly recommend
